  • Let's Get Creative

    Hello, folks.

So I have this idea that I think most of us can benefit from.
In creative writing courses and books, students are often given a list of words and are instructed to write a short story or a poem in which those words are used. You don’t have to be a poet or a writer, but it can put your brain to some good use and push you to be creative if you’d like to participate.

My idea is that every other week, I will list here about 15 words with definitions/synonyms so that interested members can write either a poem or a tiny story using at least 10 of those words. Maybe we can have a winner, too, I don’t know, and her/his creativity can be displayed somehow somewhere on PF if it gets a lot of votes/thanks. We can discuss that later.

But for now, below are the terms I’d like to see used in your first pieces. They’re totally random for a reason.

P.S. If you'd like to participate in order to learn how to write better (poetry, fiction, non-fiction, anything) but would rather not share your work with everyone else, you may send it to me in a PM, and I'll be happy to give feedback.

They say the Pashtun mettle is legendary. The Shambolic state of their mostly Bucolic homeland, where Miscreants roam as sovereigns of a Complacent population, says otherwise. The Polyglot mullah, sprinkling Pashto with Sacrosanct Arabic, reciting Recondite phrases, inciting, fulfilling his role in the Lugubrious tale of Arch Espionage. His Inured cunning no match for the Vestigial reasoning ability of the common Pashtun. With fortunes Plummeted to new lows, a people in coma, soon unable to even resuscitate.
