Surprised there isn't a section for music already!

I've been listening to some Afghan music recently, and I'm gonna post some. Anyone who wants to introduce me to some Pashto/Dari music, go for it! Any style/genre of music is allowed (except for Valy)

okay, i am jealous of the fact that someone else is aware of qamro's existence.

    hidayatullah is a gem too.

My father told me about her, but I didn't pay notice. Back then I listened to her on mashal radio with fazal rabi, the song is 'da stargo jang de' the lyrics and her voice made me to search extensively of her. She is living in a very poor condition and even can't afford her home fair.

Ustad Awalmir and Ustad Sarban have some very beautiful and poetic songs in Pashto. You should go check them out!

Love it some great music coming from Pakhtoonistan and Afg. Qamro was actually one of the first people I listened to, along with Fazal Rabi. I don't know that many traditional Pashto singers so...

But these were great fun :D

I've listened to both. I love them, especially Ustad Awalmir's 'asta da astergo bala wakhlom'. Very similar style to some Punjabi Qawali.

Btw, apologies, I've been offline for a while.
