Translating a Pashtu book into English : any suggestions?

Some friends have decided to start working on translating Pashtu books/text.
Any suggestions? Specially in this case if anyone has past experience in doing so...
Our aim is directed towards helping those that cannot read or understand Pashtu, and most importantly so we can get our history and text recognized and publicized on international level, that way anyone could access the info.

It's Pashtu to English, I just need suggestions, I was just going to start with basic Microsoft Word or .pdf, we can do the translating part, I just didn't wanted to miss out on the tech-advancement part. Since, I've never translated an entire book, it would help a lot if I can get hooked with good advice that will make the process and effort easier.
And obviously, I will ask around for help if needed from our Pashtun intellects.....Khodai de Poh khwande wrona jwandee laree, da noro tolo sara.

Zarawara there are softwares specific for translating books but am not sure if it will work for English to Pashto,however if intended in a PDF format (which it must be) you will need a PDF writing software Adobe Acrobat standard or professional pro 9 which happens to be $460 in U.S.
I have already sent an email to a PF member good with black market softwares about a copy of this software as a contribution towards Pashto's Literature promotion.

Manana,
Once I get a hold of the pattern, inshALLAH inshALLAH it will go by fast, I have time, patience and love for Afghan history and literature.
I think info regarding any ideas like, what .pdf or any other software should be used. Should I first scan the book and then start translating? Do I just translate observing the hard copy?
I was doing some research, I couldn't find anything that could help my cause. It's sad and sorry, de mog khabare wagora, Asmanano pey sorwawo, aw pa da gard internet ke sam info da Pashtu pa ara na mondal keye.
