  • "Unwanted"

    I am alone and frightened
in a new world I barely understand
having fled the violence in my homeland

    I am hated and despised
I am blamed when things go wrong
told time and again that I don't belong

    I am an unwanted refugee
Now here too, I must live in constant fear
as my hopes for security start to disappear

Am I really such a burden?
Look at the anguish written upon my face
and just be grateful you are not in my place

    living life as an unwanted
    refugee
    struggling to survive
    praying to stay alive

in years to come, you will hate yourself for writing this.
when a depressed person writes down their true feelings they give themselves wounds...the scars of which will remain obvious in years to come..

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

^ Yeah, I understand. I once wrote a Pashto poem on the IDPs as well ... and on our miseries in general. But I hated/hate it so much I have never wanted to share it with others, hah. I'm gonna translate it to English and then share it maybe.

            Wow, You truly are talented.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

            -Ferishta, 1560–1620

Dear its like the heart of a refugee poured out. Feels miserable just to read it. Cant even imagine what people feel who actually go through it. Great work. But makes me sad to read it. The pic that you have posted along. The child looks so innocent. Yara its really depressing.
