I respect your views and your worries/ hopes for this unfortunate nation called pukhtoon.
But there a shear in panjabi,"kuch shehr de log bhi zalim san kuch sanu maran da shoq vee see" which means that the people of the city were also cruel but i also wanted some beating.
Pukhtoon has always been used by people for their own interests. I dont deny our interests in that but the thing that I regret is we were sold cheaply.Our major weakness is lack of awareness, and our blind love for the religion. We dont see or judge the man who talks but if he talks religion we believe him, this has been the major cause of our malaise. For example :-
1. in 1948 kashmir war our people were very easily enticed to fight for the cause of islam. If you visit the line of control(LOC) in AJK you will see shuhadae Deer grave yard, Sadozai shaheedan etc. You will come across pakhtoons settled near the LOC.
2. In 1978 when the Russians came to Afghanistan, CIA and others enticed Afghans to leave their villages and migrate to Pakistan and Iran as Islam was in danger. These people were enticed to get training and fight the CIAs war against the Russians. How many died, how many were disabled i wont go in details.
3. The present game being played in Afghanistan and pakistan, after 9/11, and the pursecution of afghans and pukhtoons, and the role of religious leadership is another question mark. During all these years our religious leaders made fortunes and have progressed from bycycle to Pajero.
4. Tablighi jamat is taking millions of pukhtoons from their fields, businesses, homes and places. Their childern are absenting from schools, their wives are widoes and their childern orphans even when they are alive.
I weep when I see a jamat from pukhtoonkhwa roaming in punjab and sind for Tabligh, leaving their everything behind. Youth do not do any work, they leave their education incomplete as they wrongly believe in leaving worldly affairs. Unfortunately pukhtoon forms more than 80 percent of tablighi jamat. Next generation of these people is going to suffer.

We need to educate our people not to blindly obey everything said by the clergy. Ask him why and how and what authority he has.This should be our age of reason. Only then can we hope for some change and development in future otherwise we will remain in dark, and live inthe past. We will never move into the future. May Allah guide us to the right path, AAMEEN
Keeping high wishes is not bad but we really need to start and take the first step. We should educat our people
