Arabic poetry

Since there are a few arabs here, can you post some nice arabic poetry with (english) translation

I generally find eastern poetry like arabic,farsi,urdu has so much dept compared to what is written in the west, especially now days

Maybe because muslims were generally really good poets in the past.

There was a poem about death, from a sufi I think

he was killed because he was homosexual or I don't remember why... because he was an heretic

It was a poem about death, I don't remember if he was arab or persian

but this poem was one of the greatest I've read, can't find it anymore though
