benafsha i am unable to write back in your profile but the offer is still there. i never looked after the issue so i still have all the books. let me dig out a few boxes tomorrow and see what i have. just so you know, i only have novels and you don't have to worry about the shipment or anything like that. how many books can you accept at the most?

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

        Benafsha,

I took a few Comparative Literature courses in the past. In result, I have a bunch of books that I bought and read that I don't need anymore. Feel free to PM me an address to ship them too.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

I will take as many books as you can give. I know it's expensive posting books, so I will pay for postage.
          Thanks.

I feel horrible, but a few months ago, I trashed so many of my books. You know, it's the kind of thing you can never properly let go off. At the time, I had no choice. My load was getting heavier and I had to make some silly choices. Nonetheless, what sort of books are you after?

I think we should send these books to Afghanistan where people need them not to someone in the ghetto. I am sure people in the ghetto would not even bother reading those books.

^ that is not true. what would afghan students do with novels if they can't read in pashto and dari??? the thing is that you are supposed to feed poverty whoever you see it. isn't giving to charity meant to be for a selfless reason?
you are supposed to care. anyone can care for their family and people of their own country but what about the rest? this was an issue when the earth quick hit pakistan a while ago. no one was giving because we didn't who the money would go to.
if you want to send something to afghan students then i suggest it be school supplies and i suggest we do this on a different occasion and we deliver it on our own.
the best way to gather this money is to stop tipping people. you know ,the extra 5 bucks you leave your hair dresser and stuff like that. collect that and give it to someone poor back home.
