Death is like a forever sleep; however our views will never creep
I visualise the reality, I realise the brutality
Our land has turned to waste, our homes into tents
Enemies charge us high rents
We live on others charity, once kings and queens
Swat, Waziristan once a land of beauty
Dirty politics has brought too much cruelty
The heat is unbearable; all I have is an IDP card
A Monthly donation on my blood
My children are disrespected in Pakistan and bard
There is no hospital or ward
Water is polluted; our homes in Swat are looted
The Flag of Pakistan is in the air, but why do crimes continue to reappear
Why are we so in despair, how can we live in his misery which we can not bear
Eyes look on us with superstition, but we are innocent but bare the brunt
Check post after check post, our identity is questioned
Dignity abused, our honour is destroyed
We miss our homes and mountains
Food in tins can not replace our cultural cuisines
We suffer, as Politicians cruise in Limousines.
My body feels sore, beaten by Pak police just because a Pakol I wore
Food is not clean as if I am eating it raw
Line after line, for hour upon hour, I wait
War after War, Operation after Operation, they use my people as bait
Pakistan fights for power, dollar given per hour
Construction in Punjab our blood builds their luxury tower
Yet we are seen as uncivilised and lower
What has become of me, I am farmer
What crimes I committed, I never harmed her or him
My misery is never heard on media, never heard
Where should I go, as my heart misses my land
I don’t have a gun, yet I am insulted on media, I do not understand
This is my life as an IDP, I have no home, my misery isn’t alone
