The mushaira was held in year 2006 in the memory of pashtun nationalist and close freind of bach khan baba ,Muhammad Quresh Khan gadoon.
He fired the first bullet against the punjabi forces in 1961 when the punjabi forces try to invade the gadoon area.The local tribes men burn the paki flag in the village of gabasny/gadoon in 1961 and quresh khan was the man who set the fire.The clashes continue for 2 months against punjabi forces after a Jirga came from Uthmanzai (another tribe in topi,janda area) to bring peace and later gadoon was declared a pata area now part of sawaby distt/pakhtunistan.
