The shlombay pic you see in my avatar was made by Mayana.(seriously
It looks heavy, do you drink it or eat it with a spoon? and mayana just sent you the pic or the real shomblay?

Folks seriously? It's just ethanol/alchohol--the stuff present in almost every medicine, perfume, and vegetable essences such as vanilla. It is not some tequila or rum.Our traditional Shomlay drink has different kind of alcohols and in more amount than Dr.Pepper if you allow it to ferment in open air (as I do for developing that pungent taste). Mind you, the bacteria in your body also produce alcohol. So even if you don't drink Dr.Pepper, you still take/harbor alcohol in some form. One another thing: alcohol is prohibited for intoxication purposes only!
P.S.I like Ginger ale though :P

^ so by your logic if I drink a beer and don't get intoxicated it would be halal ? Cuz there are beers out there with much less than 1% alcohol
