^ UAE at number 6 is not a surprise, they love their fish there, many of the local dishes are fish based. I think they are only few of the arab countries that love fish and sea food

How come these people don't suffer from murcury poisoning??

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

Thank you for the map. Interesting. But can the information be trusted?

And yes, no surprise to see that UAE is the Arab country that east most fish. Although only 20 percent of the population is Arab today they have a long tradition of eating fish. Most of all Arabs. In Oman it is also eaten in coastal areas.

In Hejaz fish is also fairly popular but it is more expensive than meat so people buy less but there are good Hejazi fish dishes.

In Iraq one of the national dishes is Masguf - one of the oldest dishes in the world.

                          It is very tasty.

iraqi food - fish (simach masgouf) (طعام عراقيّة (مسغوف سمش - YouTube

‫سمج مسكوف شوي خرافي من ابو الليل‬‎ - YouTube

                          This is fantastic dish:
