Making dough is much easier when you are sitting on a stool on the ground. Otherwise, your arms would be sore the next morning and it will take forever to get the job done. And if you can't get your chapaties round or are in a hurry, flatten them with the roller then flip a medium sized plate over and press it on the dough the way you use cookie cutters.

Use baking soda instead if baking powder. Don't let the dough rise. Make sure you knead it alot. The more you knead, the chewer your chapati. Also, don't put any yeast in it.

^ what type of flour are you using?? make sure it's whole wheat or it will come off looking funny.
