thats not afghan dish... its indian/pakistani dish called pakorra
heeh you didnt ask afghan food :P
Clearly I was raised by my Lebanese mom. I love arab food.
But no...I know what pakorra is. It isn't pakorra. Its even better. Maybe its just my friends sister that is really inventive. Her whole family makes it.
You cut up little pieces of potatoes, onions, cauliflower, brocollli. You put it in basin and fry it. Then in the yogurt you add some milk/water, chick peas, paprika, cayenne pepper, chat masala and whatever you like. Then you add the fried veggies to the yogurt. Its super yummy but super spicy.
its our dish as well but we call it pikura lol
and some ppl call it Alogak thats funny name thu
our dish? u mean its an afghan dish?
afghans in afghanist don't even recognize what pakorra is unless they have traveled to india or pakistan... it is originally indian dish. not even pakistani... caz pakistan only came into being some decades ago.
Lol
My mom wouldn't admit she is lebanese. She dyes her hair blond and acts all white. But surprisingly, my dad is French Canadian - Mom Christian-Lebanese. Almost exactly like Zahia. She is a cool cat!
Dont worry...you are a cool cat too!
It depends on my mood, like today I had bean burritos. I loved it.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
