    • Mayana,
kindly list what you expect to do with a phone so I can attempt to right-fit you. So far, with all due respect, all those phones you chose so far are extremely horrible.

      Hint:
      This is my field. ;-)

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

        • LOL ok...
Soooo.. I would like something with a full keyboard (or if it's a touch screen, a good on screen keyboard for fast typing), a good camera with a few functions like zoom etc, a calendar with many functions (like appointments, tasks, event, remainders, alarms blah blah blah), easy and effective messaging (e.g. chat view, mass messages etc.).. that's about it. I don't really care to much for the functions that involve internet. I mean if it has them, that's great.. but they're not my priority.

Also, Admin Khana.. how do I get a phone without getting the data plan? For example the HTC, awesome phone, but I need to get a data plan with it which is like $30 a months and something I don't really need. =/

              • i have a blackberry phone, and I understand why they call it a crackberry.

Sometimes the phone randomly calls people (when it is in my pocket), and it also randomly goes to this white screen and says this : "say a command," or something along those lines. Can't wait till I can change the phone.

                      • Help me choose someone:

                        or

The Samsung Galaxy S or the iPhone?

I pride myself in not being a consumerist fashion sheep so I may reject both the above. I'm not into status, so I'd even be happy with a walkie-talkie, but frankly, I want a few more functions.

It's time for an upgrade and I'm quite partial to the Samsung because (a) it's cheaper and (b) for someone who claims that he's not into aesthetics, I think it looks a bit smarter.

The reason I'd go for an iphone? Well my brother swears by mac and apparently he's got a free car docking station got me, for what its worth.

My current phone is an LG, but it may end up being a gift to a friend's brother in Afghanistan.

... Oh and I'm not into contracts or talk plans ... I just value my freedom ...

Nearly all American carriers or at least the big 4 require a data feature. The way to avoid that is purchasing the handset at retail price. When I am done right-fitting you with a phone, I will assist you and provide you details where to purchase it from for cheap. I would recommend you the Palm Pre. Its an amazing handset. It arguably has the best and most intuitive operating system.

                          Tor_Khan,
I had the Samsung Vibrant(Galaxy S) before it even released to consumers and what I can tell you that the battery life is horrible. It has an HD video camera with an AMOLED screen and that screen runs down the juice(Battery).

As far as the iphone 4 is concerned, that's a great handset but the current models have the antennagate and glassgate problems. They are coming out with refresh models for the Holiday season so you should wait a bit, that way you can sport it in white.

Hey, I heard you can get the data plan and then cancel it later on and just keep the regular plan, does that work? =/
