trouble with itunes

    trouble with itunes

    i am trying to sync my iphone4 but the itunes is not recognizing it. i used the cord to sync my ipod nano right after and it synced it just fine. previously, i had been using my iphone5 which was working fine. i updated the iphone as well as used different cords. i even reinstalled itunes.
    the phone is charging so i know that there is nothing wrong with the cord but not showing it as plugged in itunes..does anyone know what is happening??

    Try alt+ F4 to open Sync Manager

        Try rebooting it connect the phone to your laptop open itunes and then on the phone hold the power and home button keep holding them till it turns off then let go see if that works

                i tried everything that was suggested and it never worked so i decided to come back to it with a fresh mind.. three hours later, i seem to have accomplished some sort of success..
                after the problem that i already had, my ipod nano also stopped syncing and then music files would open in itunes but disappear saying they could not be located even though i had not touched the file..i deleted all those files and re downloaded everything that i had downloaded since the problem begun and now it's all syncing in to the iphone as well as the ipod.
                this is what i set the warnings as..
                and yes, it is jailbroken!
