who cares and why would they? unless you are planning on turning your backyard in to a missile making factory, you shouldn't care who reads what you write.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

This has woken me up enough i would say, its enough for me to get rid of facebook and anything to do with these social networks..this GREATLY coincides with this talk by sheikh Hamza Yusuf, guys please listen to this as these are authentic hadith from the times of the prophet (SAW).

Eventually i think 10-17 mins into the talk its mentioned that this very system will gather and take all information about us.

            Allah hu alim

^Yeah if you're using social networking sites like facebook then you have to be really careful what you say and post. Amarkhel wror, we know too well how closely we're being watched.

I wouldn't say it's advisable to post too much personal info and pictures for other reasons as well.

Oh and cheers for the link.

Users should always be careful with social networking websites. Displaying sensitive information in such websites may have potential harm.

In fact to my knowledge and experience, nowadays when a major firm hires an employee, they usually check and see if the applicant has a Facebook. We all know what happens next.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

                -Ferishta, 1560–1620

Never had Facebook, and never will ...

... not an attack on those who have it of course.

I had some really weird experiences with facebook

When you type something, it shows up in the search links in facebook. Though i get to keep in touch with distant relatives, my CK friends *ahem ahem* and classmates from high school and what not.
