  • Youtube heating up MacBooks ?

Hi y'all..Lately on youtube, while watching some videos my macbook would start heating up like the fan gets super loud..same thing for some other websites where you get like streaming videos or other flash content..It couldn't be the laptop cuz this is a core i7 machine with 4 Gigs of RAM.

The problem, if anyone else is also having same problem its because of HTML5

They are trying to replace flash with html5 and it doesn't sit well with the MacBooks maybe other systems as well.

How to get around it, at least on youtube you can disable html5

for browser specific just google disable html5 *insert browser*

    Dude, same exact problem here.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Check the processes in the activity monitor you will see some process clocking more than 100% CPU power those are the processes you need to kill .. I had a HPshortcutmanager process and this html5 problem which doesn't show up as a process but you'll see your browsers going nuts on CPU consumption.. ever since I got rid of these I've never heard the fan rev up even once.. It's usually not the heavy software but these little software critters that mess up the machine

I don't have a macbook but it always helps to limit the number of programmes which start when you turn on the computer. Removing useless apps and programmes also helps run the computer faster and cooler.
