When I was studying in college, we heard some Afridi guy studying in Cadet College Kohat has proved Einstein Theory of Relativity to be invalid. This made everyone jiggle with excitement---The counter theory never saw the light of the day. Later we knew the guy instead of becoming another Einstine became a parasitic bureaucrat.
In the third world where scientific achievements are rare, great hopes and importance are attached with invention claims and re-inventing the wheal and the claims are exaggerated. Most of the time things turn out to be a farce. One should be skeptical until tested/evaluated by scientific community.

But may be it is a way to blackmail the Arab oil-shiekhdoms---"look if you are not giving us oil at cheap price, we are gonna launch this super invention and then your economies and governments will crumble like heap of straw---and you would be reduced to the status of beggars"---Who knows Pakistanis have the capacity to play any trick they can imagine. The are quite innovative in that.
I have heard in Aug they are raising petrol prices by 7 rupees more.
But anyhow if a reality, I will be perfectly delighted---will be able to have cheap journeys of Swat more frequently.

According to the currently accepted laws of physics, there is no way to extract chemical energy from water alone. So Friend jaan, your title is absolutely wrong. If LUMS claims they can run a car on just water, as your title suggests, they need to change their name to FRAUD University. Now it makes sense why not a single Pakistani University can make it to the top 400 Universities in the world. They make these humiliating claims.Originally posted by Friend View PostAnd the most amazing thing about this new invention is that there will be no modification in the engine or any other part of the car but only connect the water kit to the car.
Is it not a revolutionary invention ?
Also, now that we agree that it's not water ran by water only, let's also add to the bucket that this isn't 'Pakistani' innovation. Pakistan, LUMS or NUST is a good 3 decades behind when it comes to such hybrids, and I'll tell you why. The American Stanley Meyer worked on this in the 1980's. Most of the research Pakistan does is take what the Americans did 30-50 years ago, and "hope" to improve it. Rarely is there any genuine research, due to lack of budget. Not even European nations can compete with the US, since the US invests a lot of money in higher education, due to their strong alumni base and endowments. A simple University like NYU has an endowment of nearly 3 billion dollars, that's probably more than all the Indian, Pakistani and Afghan Universities funds combined.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

The US spends 500 billion dollars on the Research alone for their universities(not including what the federal government does, in their high-tech secret labs), that's about 2 and 1/2 times the GDP of Pakistan.
I don't mean to discredit my Pakistani brothers, but the thread title disagrees with established law of Physics.Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

The guy is saying that it not the water running in the engine but the water has been converted into gas and the gas has become as a fuel, and that gas is highly combustible gas.Originally posted by Admin Khan View PostAccording to the currently accepted laws of physics, there is no way to extract chemical energy from water alone. You talked about Stanley worked on it but do you know he was put into jail on fraud charges and then killed in 1998.
When the apple was falling in front of Einstein, nobody had invested Millions of dollar for that project so that an idea comes in his mind but miracles happens just like that.
May be it becomes a reality tomorrow. Let's wait for some time.

Look at your thread title. Just read it carefully, then read my post. Still, what I said holds true. Just because he did fraud doesnt mean this scientist is not 3 decades late.
Think about what I and Toramana said carefully.
Lol at waiting. I just told you this has already been explored in the 80's. Iran has a better chance of inventing something as opposed to Pakistan.
You need labs, and a stable budget for testing. Inventing isnt as easy as you might think it is. Its the 500 billion dollar university research budget and the most scientists in the world that keeps the US as the technological and innovative leader of the world. The US exhausted this concept in the 80s.Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

Hahahahaa---Loo Jee, this person turned out to be a Pathan. This shows we Pathans are not losers entirely---This is the second Pathan after Abdul Qadeer Khan that has given something to Pakistan.
Islamabad—A Pakistani Engineer Agha Waqar Pathan on Thursday successfully demonstrated running of car, motorcycle and generator through water kit.
Agha Waqar demonstrated this here in Sports Complex in presence of Federal Minister for Science and Technology Mir Changez Khan Jamali, Federal. Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Deputy Speaker of National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi and Advisor of Prime Minister on Petroleum Dr. Asim Husssain.
During the demonstration Engineer Waqar gave the responses of Scientists, Bureaucrats, Academias and Media persons and said that if government give him full required facility than he can convert large number of vehicles engines into water kits. He also rejected impression that vehicle can not run on water.
Engineer Agha Waqar Pathan belongs district Khairpur, Sindh.

Lol notice the key word convert. There is no innovation or invention here. Our Pathan sahab is just repeating what the US was doing in the 70s-80s.
Our Pathan sahab is also rejecting the basic laws of Physics. A rejection with no evidence is just silly.Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

The main thing in this invention is its cost. so cheap
This guy is claiming to provide it at full cost including taxes at 10 PKR/liter.
I hope you watch the full video and listen to what he says.
