  • Pakistani guy drives the car with water only... no petrol, diesel, no gas

    This water costs 10 rupees/liter means 0.111 US dollar/liter
It covers a distance of 40 km in one liter water. (in car)
It covers a distance of 150 km in one liter water. (on bike)
And amazingly the speed is double to the speed of petrol.

It can change the world economy

This demonstration was done by the govt of Pakistan in the presence of the engineers of Toyota, Range Rover, Suzuki Motors, scientists of LUMS and NUSTS.
The car was hired on rent because the guy is poor and the car is not in a good condition.
And the power in this water is higher than the Petrol.

Now the biggest problem is the security of this guy. Because no one would like him to to drive the cars and run machines and big factories with water.

And the most amazing thing about this new invention is that there will be no modification in the engine or any other part of the car but only connect the water kit to the car.
Is it not a revolutionary invention ?

THIS wasn’t the first time a local version of a car purportedly run on water was being displayed in Pakistan. Like every other part of the world, the country has had its share of dreamers run on a desire to replace the current automobile with one that moves either exclusively on water or on a mix of water with a variation of oil. It was the presence of Khurshid Shah, the religious affairs minister, at the preview of the new water-run model that lifted the event from being just an ordinary show of laudable intent into a celebrated launch the government was willing to place its faith in. This was a rare occurrence, a brave show by a government whose previous flirtation with energy matters has only fuelled criticism. The minister was not only there at the ceremony in Islamabad on Thursday, he actually drove the car around. His predictions about the success of the much-awaited car, he said, enjoyed the support of no less a person and no less a seeker of energy in the country than the prime minister. The minister of science and technology was also present and called it a gift to the nation to mark the upcoming 65th anniversary of independence. For the gift to materialise in time he announced “all required” tests would be completed in the next two weeks.

It is a test previous such models have failed to pass, unfortunately. The details of these failed experiments will make a thick book full of technical jargon but one old point these experiences reiterate is that it is always better to wait until you are done before you come up with a declaration about a scientific discovery. The experiment may take two weeks or two years or two decades, and as yet lead to nothing new, necessitating a fresh trial altogether.

I will take this with skepticism. But that can be a possibility as well. But anyhow, if found to be true and if launched on large scale, we will see political upheavals in the Middle East with oil-shiekhdoms falling one after another. One also think whether it is a trickery of the PPP govt to claim to have solved energy crisis once for all. Below is the comment of one reader on the above editorial.
Is this some kind of a joke? Cars don't get run on water, they get run on the hydrogen that water contains. Seperating hydrogen from water in a running car and that too in an efficient manner is what makes the project difficult. The most efficient and successful version of this technolgy is already commercially available in America. Even Toyota claims to have mastered the technology and plans to launch a Prius luxury sedan based on their new hydrogen separating technique. A technology that is more than two decades old and already commercially exploited by multiple countries to be called a 'scientific discovery' is probably possible only in Pakistan. The Hon'ble Prime Minister and his cabinet colleagues need not waste their time on further tests, as most tests on this project were completed 20 years back in Japan, USA, Brazil, Germany and France. The only thing now needed is tieing up with a patent holder and produce a model that is viable for the Pakistani market size.

Regarding the comment, if toyota or someone in America has done something such experiment then why it has not been commercialized ? The reason behind that is more expensive than the current energy products we have.
This Pakistani guy has changed pure water into some gas which costs only 10 PKR/ liter is equal to 0.11 dollar/liter.

ISLAMABAD: A sub-committee of the Cabinet on Thursday reiterated the government’s commitment to support the Water Fuel Kit Project to tackle energy crisis in country.

The committee strongly encouraged the Water Fuel Kit Project, as the project designer presented a tremendous demonstration of car driving on the Water Fueling system.

The committee members highly appreciated the idea of Engineer Waqar Ahmad of introducing the Water Fueling system for automobiles in the country.

Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah, talking to media persons after having practical demonstration by Engineer Waqar, said that the government would provide full support to the Ministry of Science and Technology in the development of the system.

He asked the ministry and the Pakistan Engineering Council to float the feasibility of the project as soon as possible.

It is pertinent to mention that automobiles can be driven on Water Fueling system instead of consuming petrol or CNG fuels. Sukkur-based Engr Waqar had presented the idea before the Federal Religious Minister, who appreciated it and latter took it to the Cabinet, which made the sub-committee.

In today’s demonstration, the Federal Minister himself drove the car running on the water fuel.

Replying to a question, the minister maintained that the engineer would be provided with full security and the idea would also be kept secured.

The minister said that Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and Finance Minister Hafeez Sheikh had also highly valued the project.

“We own this project, we will provide full support and we are committed to successfully complete the project” said the minister.

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Mir Changez Khan Jamali, on the occasion expressed his pleasure and satisfaction over the idea.

He said the idea was a tremendous step towards a counter strategy to the prevailing energy crisis in the country.

“We are making an effort to complete all the remaining works by August 14 this year as we want to gift this project to the nation on Pakistan Day” he said, adding that in next two weeks all the on-ground tests and attached experiments would be completed.

He said that all the stakeholders were taken on board in the briefing and discussion on the project in which officials from Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), NUST, entrepreneurs from automobiles industry of Pakistan and researchers also took part.

It is interesting to note that the Water Fueling system is a very simple in technical nature in which ‘hydrogen bonding’ present in distilled water would be an acting agent as well as hydrogen gas to run the car engine.

Moreover, the whole system will be considerably cheaper than that of the present fueling system of CNG and petrol etc.

Federal Minister Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani also appreciated the successful demonstration and said that the talented engineer, his idea and properties would be protected and the government would support him.

He hoped that after final launching of the system in the market, Pakistan would be also able to export the technology.

Earlier, a comprehensive session took place in PEC where officials from PEC, NUST, and auto industry, and research scholars held a detailed discussion on the Water Fuel Kit Project, in which they shared their views with the cabinet members and Engr Waqar.

During the meeting Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira asked the participants to be positive towards the innovative idea and to have concrete discussion over the project.

Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi also attended the sub-committee meeting.

                              Islamabad

A Khairpur-based mechanical engineer has made such a unique claim that is apparently too hard to ‘digest’ but he is confident that a device recently developed by him can help use water as a fuel to run motor vehicles.

Mechanical Engineer Agha Waqar Ahmad Khan was quite confident when he appeared before senior officer of Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) and senior engineers for demonstration of his claim.

During the demonstration he showed a kit that according to him can be fitted with an engine that can give a mileage of 40km per litre for a motor vehicle but for a motor bike the mileage would be as much as 150 km.

He said the kit that can be attached to the motor engine use electrolysis to split the water into two component molecules — hydrogen and oxygen — and then inject the resulting hydrogen into the engine’s combustion process to power the car along with the gasoline. Doing this, makes the gasoline burn cleaner and more completely thus making the engine more efficient.

According to the PSF officials the demonstration was so strong that they brought the mechanical engineer to a meeting held under the chairmanship of Secretary of Ministry of Science and Technology Akhlaq Ahmad Tarar. The representatives of other organisations also attended the meeting including Engineering Development Board, Ministry of Industries, Hydrocarbon Development Institute and Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering.

Agha Waqar told the meeting that he is working on the project for the last two years and running vehicle on water by using the kit developed by him. He claimed that his kit bears no negative impact on the vehicle and it is safe having no risk of backfire or backlash.

The participants of the meetings made different queries about safety standards of the vehicle and efficiency of the kit. Tarar encouraged the invention and guided Waqar to file an application with Engineering Development Board (EDB) of Ministry of Industries for approval to commercialise the device.

The federal secretary also directed PSF to facilitate Waqar in filing the application with EDB. The EDB representative told the meeting that on receiving the application the matter could be placed before Board for technical evaluation of the device.

Views sought from some other mechanical engineers stated that the currently accepted laws of Physic provide no way to extract chemical energy from water alone. A water-fuelled would rely on some form of electrolysis to separate water into hydrogen and oxygen and then recombine them to release energy, however, because of the energy required to separate the elements would always be at least as great as the energy released that can be used to produce net energy.

They also said the technology is not new as it exists for as long as four years. There is simple device that can be used to convert water to a gas that has two parts — hydrogen and oxygen — and it is a high power gas that burns effectively.
