Karachi has a pretty high crime rate.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Karachi is run by the most efficient criminal gang in the world. It's not surprising therefore that crime is so rampant here.

I challenge the pro-Pakistan crowd to sometime visit Karachi and find out what goes on over here with their Pashtun people and how the federal and provincial governments don't even care and then they'll come to know how much their Punjabi overlords really love them.

And I'm not even talking about the stuff I've heard or read about, I'm talking about the stuff I've seen with my own eyes. It makes me feel as though we're some pathetic bangle-wearing orphan nation. It has taught me many things and has further convinced me that being in a federation or unit with other nationalities will only result in our exploitation, maltreatment and the desecration of our culture.

These are truths to which our Pashtuns up north are not exposed to. And if they are aware of this and are still not moved, they're most likely "Pashtun in color, but Punjabi in taste, in opinions, in morals and intellect.''

I still remember how when you used to argue with a Mohajir they used to scare you and say, "Mein unit kho bolaunga" I used to be in class, sitting and watching these guys argue like what the hell what am I doing here? When I say patriotic pashtuns who are pro-pakistan it makes me realize that they are either related to an ISI officer or live luxurious lives.

I spent 5 years in Karachi and I am born in the US.

Yeah that threat isn't empty either. When a unit is informed about you, you are given a few choices - either give them money, leave the city or die. But if you directly abuse Altaf Hussain, you'll most likely not get the luxury of those choices and you'd have to voluntarily leave the city or be killed by unknown assailants on motorbikes.

You know, it's really funny what the ANP is doing in Karachi. When you enter Karachi city through the airport, you're greeted with a giant poster of Shahi Syed that says "ANP WELCOMES YOU TO KARACHI" or something like that. On the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa day celebrations, Shahi Syed said that he'd reply to a slap with another slap, a brick with a brick. But those shows of force we, unlike the MQM units', only shows of force. And hardly a couple of weeks after that, MQM killed 30 Pashtun taxi-drivers, tea-sellers and pedestrians with no reprisal and no injury to themselves, physical or political. The PPP, the ANP's ally in the federation, did nothing as usual.

And you know what's worse? The next day I got a forwarded SMS which said something to this effect, "all females are requested not to pass through Pathan areas today because from what we've heard, they're trying to take revenge on our girls for what we did to them last week. Please be advised. Regards, Nine-Zero (the MQM's HQ)".

Can you imagine that? They're saying we beat the crap out of them and they're so powerless and honorless, they're gonna hurt our women in response. Did you know that most Karachiites believe that 'Pathans' raped 6,000 Mohajir women on May 12th? Yes, they actually believe it. The MQM spreads vile filth about us unopposed and we're looked upon as an immoral, barbaric cancer.
