All these big enterprises need some software to autmate their business processes as well as their reporting system [MIS] in order to make maximum profit. Hence they have to opt for one or another enterprise resource planning tool which not only automates their business processes but also integrates their whole business. Now there have been softwares designed by the geeks and gurus in each industry to achieve these goals.

The major one are SAP, ORACLE FINANCIALS, BANS, PEOPLESOFT, JD EDWARDES etc. Among these SAP R/3 ranks at the top and is considered the No 1 business application Ssoftware.

All the major big shots, the FMCGs, multinational,CMM levels 5 companies have impelemented it and there is always big demand for its consultants/trainers who are well versed in implementing the software for these big multi millions enterprises.

SAP R/3 is one such solution. Visit their site SAP.COM to know more about it. However those youngsters who are interested to persue their career and invest could ask me so i can guide them practically. Unfortunately there are no Afghans in SAP field ,atleast as I know of.

While the cost of one project of SAP might be equivalent to may be one budget of Afghanistan. I urge Afghan braintrust to venture into this field of specialisation.

It was just a light satire. No need to take it to your heart.

The salaries depend upon your skill set.For example a normal consultant with expertise in any one of the modules of SAP [ which has more than a dozen modules] can earn upto 200 to 300 USD per day. The experienced one can earn startign from 500 USD per day onwards. The managerial level consultants have 1000 USD plus per day.

In the middle east as there is Zero tax ,hence you can do a lot of saving even in one project. Normally in the ME the housing ,travelling, conveyance is all free in addtion to other perks.

In the Oil industry in the ME , the salary package offered is even better.

Have you guys lost all sense of humour?

Experience is required after you learn it.You can learn it in SAP Academy. They have a North America chapter for US where they offer the course in two states I think. However be mindful that it has a lot of modules. Go through their site and see which module or Industrial solution would fit your skill set. The important modules SAP has are:

            Materials Management [MM]
            Sales and Distribution [SD]
            Controlling [Cost Acconting] [CO]
            Financial Information [FI]
            Production Planning [PP]
            Plant Maintenence [PM]
            Human Resource [HR]
            ABAP [Programming language for SAP]
            etc
            The imp Industrial solutions are:
            IS-OIL
            IS-Retail
            IS-Hospital
            IS-Aerospace and Defence
            etc.

They do offer courses in all however it is recommended to opt for one as even one module is difficult to learn. Plus the cost of each module is over 7000 usd and ofcourse when you have to be there in the academy for a month ,for example, there will be more expenses.

In Afghanistan , I do not think any company, I mean private company would be able to afford implementing SAP however those multi-nationals which have franchise offices would be needing it as part of their global rollout for the the region.

I do not have accurate industrial figures for the industrial base of Afghanistan, however Chartered Accountants ,for example who have IT know how should opt for the FI module of SAP and their market value in the international market will atleast increase three times.

I will tell on case to case basis depending on the skill set who needs what.

I do not know your academic background plus skill set but as a principle one should enter the field after graduation, as it is a high responsibility job and hence lucrative and needs mature techno-functional skills.

SAP is for clerks and warehouse employees. And knowledge of Sap won't grant you access to paradise. Knowledge of Islam will enable you to try to get to paradise.

Well there are multiple channels. Some academies refer you to internships, some give you opportunity in their own projects as internees, some projects have senior consultants who guide you or hire your services from there, then there are SAP forums where you find opportunities. There are job positions which ask for entry level postions. You may search such on sites like for example jobserve.com and putting SAP or the name of the module and the region you want to work in there and it gives you opportunities. If you pass CERTIFICATION EXAM as the end of the course then you prospects for getting a job increase. In case you have business background or experience then your chances are even brighter.
If nothing works contact me in person.
