Seriously, though, I don't get WHY anyone NEEDS to patronize
'The Mountain of Suckers' - for, Berg is mountain in German,
so as Idiot pointed out, that con-artist-in-charge is SO aptly
named...

What do you, Mostafa1919, or any of the many others who probably
keep their accounts for communication with associates / family
in other countries --

If someone in another country has access to a computer, then why
does he or she need to use this social site as a medium for communication?

What - if any - features are offered to make it more appealing than
everyday email ?

I assume offhand that the cachet of f.b. is merely that it's trendy,
making those who use it feel like members of
a hollow, tinsely club where the "in-crowd" flocks ... am I right?!

That new york times article exerted plenty of PEER PRESSURE via its
article on those who refuse to participate in the latest little gig being pushed on
the world using high school tactics of
"you better join because you will be left out if you don't
Your friends will laugh at you and your business associates
will ridicule you for keeping clear".

1. It´s "Zuckerberg".
You got the "berg" part right, it means mountain.
But "zucker" doesn´t mean sucker. It means sugar.

2. I don´t wanna write millions of emails every day when I wan´t to chat for 5 min with my former high-school friends or cousins around the globe.
I would rather use something like FB.

3. I don´t care about the hype around FB and stuff. I wanna stay in contact with people I care about. The days of writing letters or e-letters are over. Welcome to the modern days, Catya. haha
