why would the concept of "need" apply to God anyways?Originally posted by Leonine View Postthe teacher said it...God doesn't need a "natural" process to create human beings while he can say "Be" and it is.
sad to see Muslims siding with backwards Christians even though the Great Muslim Thinkers knew of evolution long before Darwin did.Last edited by ScimitarXEdge; 08-25-2011, 12:05 AM.

In fact, the idea that the state of living organisms is not permanent and undergoes gradual change was first recorded by the Greeks. All great minds of their ages agreed that living organisms change, adapt and are dynamic while the lesser minds of their ages shunned them for what they could never understand.Originally posted by ScimitarXEdge View Postwhy would the concept of "need" apply to God anyways?

That might very well be true but that's not what the evidence suggests. The evidence suggests that while "Be" was said some 13.5 billion years ago (coming into being of the universe), the earth only came into existence 4.5 billion years ago. After that, there was a huge collision that almost destroyed this earth. Then life appeared 3 billion years ago, as the fossil evidence suggests. Then, after a chain of calamities, the earth froze over, killing most of the living organisms in it. Then there was another calamity in which 95% of all living species were decimated. Then again, there was another cataclysmic event that killed the vast majority of living species on earth. And then, merely 300,000 to 500,000 years ago, we appeared on the scene. Of course, at that time, we weren't the only humans - we had at least two other species of humans living with us, whom we killed off. All of this is backed by very solid geological, biological and fossil-record evidence.
So people who deny science and reality cannot hide behind the notion that everything just happened in an instance. There was a long process and even the most ardent of creationists cannot deny that. And that process is defined by evolution."If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".
"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives".

things evolve no doubt, but the way scientists are so sure of themselves that we evolved from monkeys is very ignorant, they leave out God totally from their argument. Things are not so crystal clear about evolution as scientists would like you to believe, there are still many missing pieces especially concerning human evolution
However I agree that these extremist christian folks or extremists in general are retarted, they dont know what they are talking aboutLast edited by Karachi; 08-26-2011, 01:06 AM.

Hmm humans have not evolved from monkeys. To suggest that would be incorrect and fundamentally against the theory of evolution as we understand it. Humans and monkeys, on the other hand, had a common ancestor roughly 5 million years ago, according to the latest research, genetic and fossil evidence, and hence the striking similarities between orangutans, chimpanzees, gorillas and homosapeans. Moreover, we also had a common ancestor with felines and canines but that was way before that and hence the fewer similarities between us and cats.Originally posted by Karachi View Postthings evolve no doubt, but the way scientists are so sure of themselves that we evolved from monkeys is very ignorant,
Speaking from purely the scientific approach, everything you mention in your studies has to be proven. Laypeople (I'm also a layman at this, by the way) assume that scientists leave God out of their papers because they hate religion. Nothing can be further from the truth. If a scientist attributes something to God, he will have to explain God and determine His origin. Now we all know that this is scientifically impossible. That's why any scientific work cannot have God in it.Originally posted by Karachi View Postthey leave out God totally from their argument.
Lastly, Stephen Jay Gould, a prominent modern scientist, talked about non-overlapping magisteria or the separation and/or non-interference between religion and science. This sums it up: "Scientists, like many others, are touched with awe at the order and complexity of nature. Indeed, many scientists are deeply religious. But science and religion occupy two separate realms of human experience. Demanding that they be combined detracts from the glory of each."

That could have well been true some hundred years ago but given the abundance in fossil evidence that we have now, there are no more "missing links". Evolution is now just as mainstream science as gravity, friction, basic chemistry, etc.
Moreover, those people who deny science and evidence simply cannot shut their eyes and cover their ears from the dozens of hominid species whose fossils have been unearthed, especially from East Africa. Those hominids walked on their hind legs just like us, used tools, just like us but most of them did not have our brains. In fact, early man lived alongside other non-homosapean species of hominids and therefore, unlike us, didn't feel like a special creation, unique from everything around him. It's just that we killed off most of our rival humans or they became extinct that we find such a gap between us and our closest cousins in the wild.
The thing is that creationists have, instead of giving a scientific theory of their own, continued to poke their fingers into the less clearly defined issues of evolution and as a result, have lost all their credibility.
Anyway, if you have time, you should watch this video - it clarifies a lot of things:

^ assuming you right in everything, where does Islam fit in here??? does islam contradict evolution or does it fit with it???Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View Post

also if scientists are religious, how come they almost never come out and explain it to the world that they are religious and their views, most of the world thinks that scientists are pure atheists and ignorant of the idea of a (creator)
also again i am not denying evolution, it does exist, but i will defiantly need more evidence to believe that we had a common ancestor with monkeys
Can you provide me with 100% conclusive evidence of that?

SHow us the hadith which says Christians are close to Islam please
Wrong, according to the Ahl Al-Sunnah Wal Jama'ah Shi'a are deemed Muslims
What is the status of the Shia according to Sunni Islam
I should warn you of the grave consequences of lying and attributing it to Nabi(saw)Question:
What is the status of shias, are they considered muslims, is their status below disbelievers, will they be awarded heaven or not?
Answer:
Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,
I pray that this finds you well, and in the best of health and spirits. May Allah grant you all good and success in this life and the next.
Notwithstanding the known disagreements between Sunnis and Shia, traditional Sunni scholarship has considered the Shia to be Muslim, and ultimately of the people of Heaven.
And Allah alone gives success.
Faraz Rabbani
yeah uh Graveyard was copying what you were saying; but I guess since according to your logic since you're a cry baby and can't take being put down for being a jahil khariji, then your friend Graveyard is also a Shi'a since he curses the Jahleen.brother graveyardofempires i also told him he is like a shia cursing cursing and more cursing.
