Not really sure where you are trying to get with that.....

But yes, basically it is on a merit basis.....You have to be the best of the best, i mean you are competing with thousands and thousands of applicants, you need to make yourself stand out...you basically need straigh A's, you need about 3000-5000 hours worth of volunteer work (hospital, clinic, etc), you need about average-high score on MCATs and you definitely need to be passionate with patients and the field of study. You have to show that you have superior quality, both inside and out. Its a high achievement...any professional school, career, and study is.

pakistan, i was curious about US, it seems selection in medicine is tough every where.

yeah it is highly selective here....on average it takes about 3-5 years to get accepted into medical school after university..

yeah i dont think chai khaana will reopen, and if it does, we are not mean enough to just leave this forum and forget about it....we have greatly established ourselves here :D

jodigul....you dont really seem to like chai khaana. I was not a member at the time if you were a member, so i do not know of you.

i joined CK at the end of 2005 and get banned at the start of 2009.
i used to really like it very much but at the end banning for being pro-pakistani and noticing that every pro-pakistani is getting banned, made me to hate it. freedom of speech matters which CK lacked.

i joined CK at the end of 2005 and get banned at the start of 2009.
i used to really like it very much but at the end banning for being pro-pakistani and noticing that every pro-pakistani is getting banned, made me to hate it. freedom of speech matters which CK lacked.

I got banned for the same reason lol.
