I asked for the following reasons,

A) It is a Random thread
B)The reason behind is to see how educated our sisters are here, I don't want to sound too intelligent if everyone around is uneducated.

in my eyes there are 2 kinds of uneducated

1) Those who are uneducated and care to learn, I respect
2)Those who are uneducated and don't care and think it's cool to be part of NY street gang. Those I oppose and challenge.

No, actually, we, MashaAllah, have very educated members here.

Myself, I am in my final year of a three year Bachelor or Arts Degree (undergrad) majoring in Journalism. I am enjoying it a lot. I havent focused on too much of the broadcast side yet, as I want to specialise in print news reporting and production. BUT, for some reason, ten years down the track I do see myself as a reporting Journalist somewhere back in the East, either in Afghanistan or elsewhere. InshaAllah...

Well of course. In todays day and age with so many opportunities, so many routes, so many doors, one should have no excuse of not studying. A university degree is the basic requirement in many fields of work. In fact many places do not even accept new graduates for work, they want more qualifications. People then come back to uni to do more and more. At the end of the day, alongside all that, I will say that there are many who will have degree after degree, but those same people lack common sense, logical reasoning and are not the best of rational thinkers. Get my point?

Last year i went to London in April. It was really fun but i missed the weather here so much. It was cloudy and rainy the entire time.

Last year i went to London in April. It was really fun but i missed the weather here so much. It was cloudy and rainy the entire time.

yeah i went in April 2009....it was really fun though, the rain doesnt bother me much :P

Yeah we do have earthqakes here....though in places of the Bay Area......But they are not that bad really though, the big earthqake in San Fran and Oakland was a long time ago, but now there may be some small ones here and there, alhamdillullah not like Haiti though.

Oh right, the US get the extreme of all weather. The most we ever get is heavy snow or sometimes rain.
