Thank God there's a thread for "randomness." Here, I'd like to whisper out loud about today's hopeless music (English).
What the heck is wrong with today's songs? We seriously lack good lyricists, it seems. These songs are so dull, superficial ... lacking in poetry, depth, and meaning over all!
The ones that I find among the worst are:
- "Sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare" (Not sure about the title. But seriously? What a sick metaphor! Someone musta told the lyricist that that's deep! It's not!)
- "Alejandro, Alejhandro" (Like, OMG! I can't keep up with the names! I love Lady Gaga for being different and all, AND she has a very good voice, but Good God, this song is so. freaking. annoying.)
The couple of ones I like (and even look forward to!) are:
- "Wish Right Now" ("Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting starts. I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now." Not a bad metaphor.
- "Heartbreaker." It's so nice :D It goes like "Now listen to me, babe... before I love and leave ya! ...<something> ... don't wanna deceive ya ... <something> If you faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall for meeeeeeeeee, I'm not eeeeeeeeasy to pleeeeeeeeeeease. I'mma tear you apaaaaaaaaaart ... told you from the start! I'm only gonna break, break, ya break, break your heart! Ahh, I love it!

I must add... Pukhto music rocks!! As does Indian. Our lyrics are SO much more meaningful (well, as long as they're not sung by Nazia Iqbal and her likes).Comment

Phewww Got my results on Friday and it turned out I got a solid 2:2(C grade)..Thought I'd messed up..this was the reason why I was going to leave PF but alhumdulillah survived the first year.
