Well I actually paid for it when I took it. I got 139 (~158 on the other scale - this test uses 2 scales). 99.5th percentile. If this is accurate, then that means ~38-40M people in the world are smarter than me, which I do not believe. There can't be more than a few thousand (if any) of those, at best.

You paid for it and gave a random company access to your Facebook?? Not very smart at all :-/

Since you paid for it, means you have below average iq

Murra, it's $10. $10 is negligible. It's like 2-300 Rs (not when you convert, but it feels that negligible). It's not the be all end all, but it's worth knowing at least.

You'd be surprised what company's make silly little games up and market them as something official to get access to people's profiles, data is a rich industry. It's not so much about 10$ or 100 but actually putting your trust in a phoney website which makes you do the test, then plays games in given results! but yeah you've got some scores out of it which is good, now you just have to pay a couple more $10 ppl and see what results they give you, you know, just to be sure Lol

This pip-squeak company mining my data is nothing compared to what Google and Facebook and other professional data mining sites have. There's no point fretting because they already know everything. I read an article 3-4 years ago about some marketing company sending sample baby products, and new mother products, to a teenage girl before she herself realized she was pregnant.

I've done many IQ tests in the past though. It's pretty consistent with the result, it's usually in this area. Hitler apparently had an IQ of 141. Caveat emptor, but this one isn't too bad and isn't culture specific.

In Afghanistan, the number of people taking IQ tests is much lower than say India, but education gulfs in India are much broader than those taking IQ tests in Afghanistan. Afghanistan would reflect a significantly more cloudy representative sample than India. Many other factors are involved here too than can be addressed, but this cannot be a raw intelligence measure.
Indians like East Asians Japanese, Koreans, Chinese are just copying Westerners...tell me one thing Indians inventrd lately....

I dont believe Indians are smarter...or East Asians are smarter...for example developement of empires and cultures, you can ses a trend that all Thise nations had access to sea...Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, British, Greece, Rome, China, Japan, Korea....all had vast empires....landlocked nations are limited in this sense and this is why it was such a huge blow that Afghans lost Baluchistan to British Raj....

This is the map, which happens to include Afghanistan (somehow).

India do have lower IQ than Afghanistan....its cause they have 800 million people living in slums.....it should be obvious to most that India is not some developed first world nation...India is good at marketing itself though.

Westerners have been copying Indians ffor centuries. Most of Modern Mathematics has some root in India even if tangentially. But today our numeral system is based on India.

Copying is not a problem; because not everyone can copy especially with sophisticated and complicated materials. If it was that easy , there wouldn't be such a hold on top secret blueprints and algorithms. India and East Asians are achievers, copying or not because they have the intellectual power to produce their own things.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

What I meant is Western companies build factories down these cointries and pay people less money than they would pay their owen citizens to do same job.

China and India are factory of the world...also two most polluted nations in the world.

The ideas came from West...(companies)...factories built in these undeveloped countries for ****** profit (made in China, India, etc.) hence why US and Western European so rich even they dont produce as mich as India or China...

Yeah for like textiles and commercial technology; not for research and scientific exploration.

That is purely their own talent and know how, you can argue because they sent their students to study abroad and they learned from Western schools; but the intellectual merit and power is all their own.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

But what breakthroughs have they made that wasn't already discovered elsewhere?

Great, and Barak Odingo was awarded a Nobel peace prize. Guess who f*cked up whistle blowers and instigated the highest number of drone strikes, far FAAARRR surpassing his predecessor (and killing our people on the side of the Durand that I have a passport for)? I'm not tarnishing it, and a nobel prize is definitely the pinnacle of achievement, but there are wrong winners like the above. It was important for me to point this out.

Also, not to nit-pick, these are great achievers. But only 2 are scientific, and 1 of them was in the 1930s. No doubt these are very impressive... but even pip-squeak Pak has 1 scientific nobel laureate.

It's good, but compared to other similar places, and especially compared to how much you were raving about them, the proof isn't really in the pudding :/
