description of Michel Foucault by Muhammad Zubair, who actually uploaded the books

Let me say also say something about Foucault (his name is pronounced as ‘Foco’ - I pronounced it wrong for a long time!). He is a very difficult author to read and understand. Reading him difficult for various reasons including the fact that he has written in French and we have English translations of his works. Also, Foucault has and uses a completely different diction and terminology that you may never have come across. Understanding him is difficult initially because you cannot understand him with the tools of ideas and analysis that you have acquired over the years of your education. In fact there have been books teaching you how to read him! I tried to understand him but failed – mainly because I did not have the time to do so as I have been busy with some other projects in my own field. But I am a witness to the amazing intellectual analysis of those around me who understood him and used his paradigm. Also, to my amazement I found that the American academia – specially in social anthropology – is so much obsessed with the Foucaultean paradigm that one wonder what would they do if there was no Foucault!
