This is wrong, Arabic numerals actually were introduced to the Arabs by Indian mathematicians who were the original inventors of the way the whole world writes numbers today. It were the Arabs that introduced them to the Europeans who then called them Arabic numerals.

Thank you for your interest , Libyan will get things mixed up , let's stick with the official ancient Arabic better .

Actually I got confused after reading some of the information on wiki....
Maybe what you said is right , maybe not , and Maybe the Arabs have altered the Indian ones. Thank you brother .

There was no alteration. The genius of the current system was that the Indian mathematicians figured out to actually have a symbol for zero. There were many Indian mathematicians who contributed to the house of wisdom in Baghdad during the golden age of Islam. Islam provided tolerance for the advancement of Science and mathematics which forced scholars from all over the world to flood Baghdad and other intellectual institutions.

                      Ana ismy Yasir
                      My name is Yasir

Does not Ismy mean My name ? Do we need to add the personal pronoun Ana? Please explain and I really appreciate your effort to facilitate us to learn and practise Arabic. I know Arabic but due to lack of pratice I may forget it.

Ismy

First of all , thank you . As for your question , it's up to you whather to include the word "ana" or not . I don't think there's a rule.
But in some situations I prefer to include ana , maybe in formal meetings, if I'm starting a sentence out of the blue, i.e. I enter a room and say my name is Mohannad , it would sound better to use "ana" in my opinion.
Last but not least, maybe there's a rule I'm not aware of ...

Please feel free to ask any questions .
