Write less
250 Words is enough

Oh no, lol. Big, BIG no for Qrratugai :p Since I'm an overly verbose person (qrratu, indeed), my blog tends to have posts that are thousands of words long... but I love it that way.

However, I would suggest that don't keep ALL of your blog posts to approximately 250 words. Vary the length so that some are long, some are short, some are REALLY long, some are REALLY short, some are just medium length.

Make Headlines snappy

That's an excellent advice. If you make your blog appear to the public and in search engines, you'll have tons of people coming by because they typed in a keyword that matched something in at least one of your blog entries.

Write with passion

Yeah :D Make it seem like your life REVOLVES around the stuff you express your opinions about. People like it when you're passionate about something, anything at all; express that passion in your posts. And you'll have loyal visitors that way, too.

1. Make your opinion known
People like blogs, they like blogs because they are written by people and not corporations. People want to know what people think, crazy as it sounds they want to know what you think. Tell them exactly what you think using the least amount of words possible.

I agree especially with the part in bold. People will come to your blog, then, saying, "So, what are your thoughts on <such and such>?" And then that keeps them coming back 'cause they wanna know if you responded.

When I first got my blog, I didn't think I'd have anything to write on either :p I honestly learned how talkative I was AFTER I started blogging (which was about 4 years ago on another blogging site). So just create a blog, and perhaps you'll read a news item and have an opinion on it and then write a blog post on it.

Or your favorite classes ...

Or your future goals ...

Or views on marriage/relationships ...

Or poverty and how you think people can help reduce it (in Afghanistan, especially)

and so on

Also, visit other people's blogs, as random as possible, and you'll get ideas that way as well. That tends to help me often.
