They maybe good writers and academics and they are entitled not to believe in God. There equally intelligent people who DO believe in God. Faith is a matter of personal choice and everyone must respect each other's choices. Forced religion or atheism both defeat the purpose they are meant to be for.

Also Known as: Fallacious Appeal to Authority, Misuse of Authority, Irrelevant Authority, Questionable Authority, Inappropriate Authority, Ad Verecundiam
Description of Appeal to Authority
An Appeal to Authority is a fallacy with the following form:
Person A is (claimed to be) an authority on subject S.
Person A makes claim C about subject S.
Therefore, C is true.
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
2010 Admitting he's a blind believer not in God, but what other men says.

That would have been true if the assertion was that the claim of the authority was sufficient in and of it self. However, the claim is "academics speaking about God", meaning that the argument is in what they say and not who they are.Originally posted by RevolutionThroughReason View Post@Malakand

If you are going to be a revolutionary rationalist, you should at least know how to apply reason first.
