Why the West has come to dominate the East

please remember that the west is now full of eastern people, in all walks of life. they are scientists, doctors, business people, bus conducters and cheap labour, etc.
i think it is good that people are reminded of the origin of some of the knowledge that has been utilised by the west which originated in the east, randolph.
for example, the first patent taken out in america by an american, was a scythe(spelling?) now tell me if you think an american invented that. but they take the credit for it.

The Islamic Golden Era was the result of tolerance. After the Roman empires collapsed, the europeans went into the dark ages and had lost all knowledge they once had. The Romans had some of the best engineers where roman bridges and roads still exist. The religous lunatics had taken over europe and had intolerant policies and rejected anything rational.

Most european scholars were forced to go to the middle east where tolerance and critical thinking was allowed. Most mathematics and the arabic numerals that the whole world use today were created by Indic scholars in baghdad. The indic people were faced with the same intolerance for research and developement in their own indic homeland. Besides that these scholars were attracted to Baghdad and Damascus becasue it was a place where they could discuss scholary work with other bright minds.

The west today is kind of like what baghdad and damascus was in those days. The best and the brightest people from all over the world are attracted to the west. The west is not just built by the europeans, it is build by humanity, the west just has built a system to attract these people, same goes wit the islamic golden era. It was not just built by muslims but by people from europe to africa and as far as the far east.

If you look at silicon valley 30% of the entrepeneurs are indic, another 30% are jewish. Steve jobs had arab ancestory. my point is these people could not have done what they did other than the west because the facility and bright people like them would not have come together as they did in the West mostly in America.

So excelling would be that the west is attracting the best and the brightest. Once this attraction stops, then the west would be declining. Some scholars claim that this was Osamas plan. By creating an intolerant America, the west would lose its appeal and hence its power.

but the west is also declining in many many ways. there needs to be a blending of ideas and cultures from east and west.
so, the west is not JUST excelling.
