The computer revolution was brought about by mostly Asian and Jewish nerds

The mathematics for which computer processing was even possible was from the East. Algebra is Al-jebra

The first flying machine and flight was also done by a Muslim, not the Wright brothers

The "pants" or "trousers" that you wear are also from Muslims

The mathematics which the Greeks worked on has all its origins in the Muslim world

Hygiene/cleanliness originates from the Muslim world.

That chess you may play from time to time is also from the Muslim world
The list can go on and on

Back to the topic though, the era of the West is at its end

      Exactly brother.

He is deliberately provoking Muslims and Arabs because he is envious of the history and hate Islam.

The first time I saw his posts I thought it was Soldat-Communist. And what did I discover 1 minute ago when I clicked on his user?

A message from nobody other than Soldat-Communist talking about him (thegood) should add Soldat-Communist on Facebook.

I did not know that Soldat-Communist was schizophrenic but I guess you learn new things every day.

Ignore him brother's and sister's he is only here to spread hate and talk badly about us Muslims and Islam. I feel pity for him.

grazing camels in the desert would have been a mulitdimensional experience where sitting on our butt, being a big brain, isn't so. you think the internet scenario is superior?
anyway the western bombers are polluting the deserts with their 'creative' inventions, so might be better, now, to box oneslf up and live by brain and fingertips alone.

The current Saud has 30 wives. But so also has every other Arab at least 5 wives.
what BS are you spitting. the muslims translated greek work and expanded it and the europeans translated muslim work and expanded it to what it is today. the greeks are not western europeans they are closer to middle eastern than they are to the europeans. Most empires including the greek and roman empires nestled in the middle east along the mediterean coast.

Northern europeans came in to dominance by expanding knowledge with the printing press and the ottomans supressing the printing press limiting knowledge to its population. at the same time the ottamans were obsessed with the gun and the europeans obsessed with building powerful navies. one wanted to control land and the other wanted to control the Seas. to this day having a powerful navy is a neccesaity to dominance.

this thread is not about the pros and cons about the west being the dominate power but about how they came to be.

I was not aware that the ottomans banned printing. that has to be one of the biggest obsticle to its expansion and its sustainablity

i am responding to an aspect of a comment, khushal, that tended to be assuming the superiority of an aspect of the dominating power, if you don't mind.
yes the printing press......i did not know either. thank you.

Maybe you should read his comments then. He is specifically talking badly about Arabs, camels and other nonsense.
He targeted a whole race and later the religion.

And as you know Arabs and Islam is pretty much connected for obvious reasons.

Im pretty sure there is a logical reason for it. hind sight is 20/20 but at the time they had different issues.

                        was it to control information.
were the hand writers so powerful that they regarded the printing press as the end of their way of life and influence.
I cant really think of a religous reason.

the ottoamns were masters at employing technology and new methods. why did they not employ the printing press.

economy, science, and technology. the west excelled by building their economic bases and thinking forward instead of the here and now. just look at the research and development budgets of nations today. muslim nations are last place, even the richest ones. its these muslim nations that will be dependent on western technology for generations to come if things don't change in these muslim nations.

who cares what muslims did 1000 years ago. try telling some afghan villager who is being bombed by american jets about the islamic golden age. or a palestinian whos land is being taken over by some kikebergs. inspiration from the past means nothing is there is no means to excel in the future.

this is why afghans greatest weapons are cheap ied's against 100 million dollar american bombers which were backed up with billions of dollars and years of research and countless engineers and scientists, all of whom went to the best universities in the world.

only before we realize how low we have sunk, can we fight to the top.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

you should care because if you dont know what went wrong in the past how can you fix the present and build the future. There are nuts out there that actually beleive fixing the present and building the future is to go back to the 7th century, what they are not thinking about is that the rest of the world is not going back to the 7th centrury.

The west is exceling and have excelled becasue they are learning of the ottomans mistakes and they dont want to repeat them. you cant ignore the past.

that is my point. none of these wide eyed "islamists" want to learn from the past. they want to boast about the golden era. the golden era is fine and good. it should be an example of what we should be striving for right now and into the future.

bragging about how a muslim astronomer discovered the andromeda galaxy 1100 years ago does not help muslims today if they are content simply with past accomplishments. nevermind that this kind of pride is haram, the kaffirs of the world are mastering sciences we can only dream of.

its why muslim nations choose to be puppets in order to buy weaponry that they could never develop.
