      Spades bear fruit.

Calling people to Allah is done by good character and example first and foremost. This is how Sufism has spread Islam wherever it has gone, and this is how it continues to do so. Hundreds and hundreds of Westerners have become Muslim at the hands of Sufi shaykhs. Wahhabism has pushed many people away. Not only do they push away potential Muslims, they declare the majority of those who are already Muslims as mushriks and kafirs. They actually do the opposite of da`wa: they decrease the numbers of the umma.

If we loosely apply labels, we can make many things fit. But a label, a name, must have an exact meaning, otherwise it loses its significance.

Sorry to say mujib bro but in the west what you call wahabis are doing dawa. Sufism related people i have seen are involved in making money by donations etc etc.

In the West Sufis distort the teachings of Islam in order to attract people. Salafis say it like it is. Still thousands of people convert to islam every day in salafi masajid.

Sufi dawah is primarily a desi dawah focused on cultural muslims who love halwah and sufi version of christmas.

                          • Here we have it, an entire page of Wahhabi/"Salafi" da`wa. If the above is what we mean by being more active in da`wa, then yes, Wahhabism is far more active.

These sort of YouTube channels are dedicated to promoting Wahhabism and attacking traditional Islam (Sufism included). Subhanallah - the irony of claiming the truth on the one hand and spreading foul language and inappropriate dancing on the other.

                              • Subhan Allah, Sufis make those videos, record them, and spread them. But Wahhabis are bad for showing people how deviant the Sufis are.

                                Makes allot of sense.
