During the meeting President Karzai emphasized that the students should return to the country with the knowledge that the Afghan nation was opting for it during the coming decades and they have sacrificed them for it. Held at the Presidential Palace, the president expressed pleasure over the fact that the Afghan students are heading towards Turkey and India for education and called it an important step. He said the steps that eighty years back Ghazi Amunullah Khan had taken and wanted to stand the country on its own feet, and this way remove the dependency of the country, should be practically implemented by you now. He reiterated that you are getting education at the money of your country and you are required to exert all possible efforts to learn the modern knowledge and return to your country as capable specialists and meet the expectations of your people who pin their hope to you. He added that the pains that our people are feeling are directly connected with poverty and low level of knowledge of our people, so you are required to make the base for knowledge and learn the knowledge to better serve your country and for this reason you are sent abroad so that we are relieved from the dependency on others and our people lead a prosperous life. You therefore should endeavor day and night to equip your selves with the modern contemporary knowledge that the nation expects you. Acting minister of higher education said at the meeting that this is the first batch of the youth, lecturers of the universities and employees of the government departments who are going to India and Turkey for taking BA, Masters and PHD courses in those countries. Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

i am pleased to hear they will be in a safer country.....though not so sure of India. I hope, wish, and pray for their safe return. And to share and spread their knowledge with their countrymen.
