  • Islamic University with cheap courses

    Salaam walaikom,

This is the university I am studying at:

They are based out of the States. They are wonderful. All courses are offered online/distance-ed. The courses are around $100 each. You can get a bachelor/masters of Islamic Studies or Sharia Law. Or you can just take courses that interest you. Each course is only 2 months long each (rather than the 4 we usually would have).
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I also suggest call the school. They are SUPER friendly.

    Enjoy!

    Thanks for sharing.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Why doesn't it have a "edu" in its address? Is it accredited? Its message about accreditation isn't very clear, but it seems like it's not accredited . . . why not, though?

Hmm... I see it's nonprofit; is that why?

It'd be interesting to take a class with them and compare it to the Islamic Studies courses I'm taking at my university, I'm thinking.

All the teachers have PhD's or they're studying to get PhDs. I just call and ask. They're super nice.
I don't care if ts accredited or not - I can afford it, I'm learning and I won't have a huge debt after!

I will teach inshAllah! My dream is to open up an islamic school for young children that falls under the curriculum by the government too, so that they can be in a halal place all day and learn the necessities AND Islam!

                  You know what. Shove it!
What the heck is your problem?

Again - my apologies. The courses are from the Middle East - the books, the lectures. The university is set up in the states. I didn't know that right away, as I registered through the local mosque and they called Egypt to register me.
