doing skool....criminology also persuing a fighting carrer doing mma and olympic wreslting...inshallah inshallah by allah's will i will hold the afghan flag beside a championship belt
My parents wanted me to be a doctor ever since my tre became one.
I started out University in Biochemistry,
then I switched to Chemistry because I hated Biochemistry,
then I switched to Biomedical Science (again for my parents),
then I switched back to Chemistry because I REALLY hated biology,
then I switched to Chemical Physics because I wouldn't have to take Organic Chemistry.
I graduated with Honors Chemical Physics this past October, Alhamdulillah. I'm working for now, but I'll be applying to Law School this November, Inshallah.
lol This sounds somewhat parallel to what I'm going through
I got in as a Biochem major
Then switched to Chemistry
Then to Biopharm
Now, I'm thinking of switching to either Nursing or English...so undecicive

Lol, you have a healthy list as well Sweety.
I think people should always study something they like and they know they can graduate in. If you don't like what you're studying, chances are you won't put in the time for it, and then we all know what happens.
Btw, I still need to forward those Afghan clothes pics.

Kana...
The only reason I decided to accept the Biochem offer was because I wanted to go into Medschool (I don't know why the only professions we see are either doctor, engineer, lawyers and the like. There are so many more options that are available in universities). But that seems a bit too far fetched atm. I'd still love to work in the medical field but I don't wanna be looking through a microscope somewhere in a lab down under for the rest of my life :| So, nursing is the best option out there, imo. I can still continue to do masters once I graduate. Right? right? I think I'm just convincing myself here, excuse the tangent :|
Oooh and I think my memory loss seems to be at a peak lol, but i'd love to see Afghan clothes pictures!! : P
^Is it safe enough to say - more of our females (who live in the west) are educated than the males? I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I have seen faaar too many pashtun (male) highschool dropouts to not worry about the state of our future.

I agree with you. I lived in a neighborhood that had nearly 20,000 Pashtuns (Majority Kandaharis like 80percent)in New York and I can the majority of the well educated were the ladies, the guys simply get in to gangs and etc. The Kandahari guys simply dont care about education, according to sources they own nearly 1,000 restaurants alone in tri-state area so they simply start owning more and more businessess.
I cant lie, Kandaharian have made a name in restaurants even wikipedia has an article about them llol.
