in the andaman islands and the maldives, controlled by india, the muslims run the islands, from what i saw. most of the hotels i stayed at in the andamans, 3 years ago, were muslim and the woman running the tourism for the andamans was a muslim. so the muslims are doing ok there.

^ depends which area, maldives and andaman are majority muslims and are not main land india, go to places like mumbai or many areas,where slums are occupied by muslims or low caste hindus

i lived in india for 2 years, in the 70's so i have seen a lot of the country. i wasn't aware though, that so many muslims were in the slums. i stayed in a muslim hotel,last visit, next to a beautiful big mosque and heard the calls to prayer. i like the sound, even though i am not muslim.
in sri lanka, the muslim area, the fort,(i think it's called) is the cleanest area i went to, in that country.

^ just go research from google, muslims and dalits are poorest people of india, ofcourse there are some who are doing good, but majority are not.

How do u know? Just because the movie happened to show Muslim characters? Dont make such statements.

Slums are a fact. In fact they moved hundreds of slum dwellers during the commonwealth games to avoid media scrutiny.
