I must admit I have a fondness for the Sassanian dynasty, especially the later part of it.

I guess that's why I'm mad about the ruin of Ctesiphon [Taq Kisra] to this very day....I still gnash my teeth...

It could have all been done later, in a more polite way. Not a violent overthrow of a very civilized way of life.

Just think if India had been approached first, then there wouldn't be all the intercommunal Hindu-Muslim problems today. No Pakistan would have been necessary, too !

Sassinaid empire was decaying and rotting from its own excess. They had a caste system and because of their wars with Roman-Byzantine Empire they had to levy taxes on their poor.

As for your stipulation on the route of Islamic Ummah's expansion, you'd have to take into consideration the limitations that must be accountant for by any good general, such as the geography of the region, the provisions of your own army, and the value/purpose of being in the battlefield. Not even Alexander could pass through India after exhausting his whole army.

Besides, I doubt you have extrasensory perception that allows you to gauge one's spiritual "aura".

      Arabisation of Pashtuns.

Mr Graveyardofempires, I noticed you removed the DP of your Punjabi Loving Talib Commander hahaha!.

Ibn Walieed or whatever his name is, was not a Pashtun, its just like how Kashmiris are stating that Jesus is buried in Kashmir.

What will be next? that Ayesha was a Herati?

Graveyard dude, Its Haram to fight and divide Pakistan, Its punishable by death of those who work to divide the Ummah and pit Muslim against Muslim, so tone down your hatred towards Pakistani Muslims, at the end of the day there are more Muslims in Pakistan than Afghanistan and they all very much pray to Mecca daily.

Nationalism does not suit you and you do not pull it off very well.

              ^ Great name for him.
Let's all call him THAT from now on.

Well that was a good point of Alchemist's about getting bogged down in India. The return route of Alexander's army through Baluchistan was horrible, admittedly the Arab armies would have had a tough time too.

              However, think about this idea:
if India had been converted from Hinduism - AND THEIR Caste system, which was really rigid, unlike the Sassanian society - it would have been so much better.

Zoroastrianism is after all, a monotheistic religion. And Zorastrians are usually included among the Ahl - i - Kitab.

So which area was more of a jewel for the Muslim armies to capture?

I think Khalid ibn Walid should have hired some Phoenicians who were famed as expert seagoers and set sail for Kerala... From there, it was an easy reach toward Malaysia and Indonesia, also Hindu at least Java was.

Yes, gye, I visited at least two different years. That's how momentous a figure I see him as.

Thanks for the explanation about the hair of the Prophet. One is in Topkapi Sarayi, too, I believe. Brought back by Ottomans after conquering Arabia.
Time for them to reappear and take over the Hijaz again away from the
undignified rulers of the present day!
