I bought HNU (TSX) shares over 6 weeks ago and I am stuck with them. I am still waiting for them to go up, but the harsh winter is taking some time.

stock markets continue to fail. The only way you make money out of this HARAAM system is by participating in the activity of betting against stocks - another stupid American financial 'product.'

                    Here are my two cents?

If you really need to invest, invest in gold, silver, or diamond.

Hedge funds have created a housing collapse which is undoable. Infaltion is increasing.

well wrora first step is always about understanding what market you want to get into and the type of leverage you will get if any and the commissions and charges that are there with your broker. i use MRC as they are reliable and convenient and they have a easy to use platform (meta trader 4).

there are 2 different types of traders. ones that trade CFDs and ones that actually take a share part in a business hoping for a return either in dividends or rise in share price. the difference between the 2 is that CFDs are for short term people who want to make money quick every day or week while actually buying the shares in a business is for the long term people.

i trade CFDS( CONTRACT FOR DIFFERENCES) because they suit me better and i am looking for a quick return as i can be inpatient :P lol
                      now the advantages:
                      1. you get leverage starting from 20 going up to 500, leverage means if u invest 1 pound and your leverage is 500 then you get given 500 on top to trade with. this can be dangerous as it can make your trade much larger and if your doing it right u will make big money but if your doing it wrong you will lose big time.
                      2. it a 24 hour market excluding weekends. open roughly around 9pm on sundays for me and closes 9pm on Fridays. so if your 1 of those people that are busy during the days and free at night then you can trade then. you can trade what ever time suits you best.
                      3. your not tied down. when you trade CFDs you dont actually buy share of the company but more of like an agreement and when the price changes in your favor you close it and profit is made.
                      4. its a bull and bear market. this means you can make money of a market or company that is going up or down in price.
                      5. you dont lose money apart from the money you invested.

once you have the broker setup and funded your account ( minimum is $100) you can then start anaylisng currency pairs in the forex market or companies and then trade.

thats basic outline wrora. i can give you more in depth information if you want.

                              Here is HNU,

                              http://www.google.ca/finance?hl=en&b...-8&sa=N&tab=we

It is a natural gas company. The shares were split (their price doubled)I bought shares worth $2000 at 3.6 (7.2 now) and $3000 at 4.0 (8 now). Apparently it is suppose to go up with a winter wave and cold weather because people will start warming up their houses and companies.

                              So let's see.

By the way, which market do you trade in right now? I have only been trading in the Toronto Stock Exchange so far.
