You guys, breastfeeding is not as simple as you think it is.

Many women are not able to breast feed their newborn. They are not able to produce it. Even some babies have a hard time too.

Yes i agree that newborns should be breastfeed, there are many benefits in doing so, but for some women, it is not possible.

Ask the women who don't breastfeed and say it's because they can't. Not all woman produce the milk necessary to breastfeed their child. Not all women have enough of it. Many factors are involved in how much and whether or not a woman has the milk including, of course, diet. Here's a link that might help you understand.

You're not necessarily at a greater risk if you don't breastfeed, but it's better if you - if you can. Breast milk has the nutrients necessary for babies that help prevent certain diseases for the babies, BUT most formulas have *much* (not all) of what breast milk has. It's strongly recommended to breastfeed a child for many reasons, and there is tons of research on this available all over the net. But, still, it's not like your baby will grow be an ill person if you don't breastfeed her/him. It just has a lot of benefits.

Every woman who can breastfeed should do so. She should consult her doctors before deciding not to, though, just so the doctor may recommend other alternatives that might be close to equivalent of breast milk.

                Exactly!

Many women who are stressed at times cannot produce milk. There are many factors that prevent the possibility to breastfeed. My own mother was not able to breast feed me much due to stress, so my aunt did.

Yes I believe women should make breast feeding their first choice, even if that means to use the 'pump' and put into a bottle because it is still breast milk. But it is not always possible. Many women cannot produce enough milk. So yeah

It is not 'harmful' to a baby to not breast feed. Your baby will still be normal and grow in normal stages, it is just quite beneficial to do so. Formula works, but breast milk has 'more' benefits than formula does.

Personally, if i had a baby. I would breast feed. Simple reasons are that it is natural and it has a special bond between a mother and child. And i want my child to recieve the benefits from it.

But some women do not like to breast feed. It can get messy, it hurts sometimes. It gets tender and aches. So yeah, some women do not want to go through that....But I dont mind, after all it is for my baby.
