I am sure a stray suicide bomber will rip my lungs up before these four thousand chemicals will. In Pakistan and Afghanistan you don't have to be such fussy about being killed by a mere smoke of cigarettes where you have even more severe alternatives of destruction: being bombed from the sky and blown by TNTs on the ground.
Why shouldn't I have some fun before dying. Cigarettes make me feel cool. I won't quit. (where's that smoking emoticon? )

P.S : We have more deadliest chemicals here that kill people: Tri-Nitro-Toluene.
