  • blood types

it's a good idea to know your own blood type as well as that of your family members in case of emergencies. how many people know their blood type and has anyone ever been a receiver or a donor?

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

I was a regular blood donor for more than 10 years so I know my blood group. In fact I had known it before I became a donor.

Weird....i was just talking about blood types with my coworker.

There are different groups or types of blood: A,B,AB, or O. Each differs on who they can get blood from and who they can give blood to. About 40% (correct me if i am wrong) is the Type O blood. This is considered as the universal blood, they can give blood to anyone. I am an A+ blood....so my blood can only go to A and AB groups. So within my immediate family, i can only give blood to my sister.

never donated or received. hope neither situation arises.
when i studied in europe, the university offered students cards for donation of blood and organs, i did not want anything to do with it. a feeling from within.

Kind of typical approach (unless there are some medical reasons behind). And ICE people expect that doctors will do everything for them or for their family members, including blood transfusion. As blood could be produced or brought from the corner shop.

I don't know about my blood group, I have neither given any blood to anyone nor have I taken from anyone but I often think about the grouping. Has any scientists made any research on this ? Is their any impact of different blood grouping on one's character ? I mean if one's blood group is A+ and the other one is A- so is their any difference between their character and habits and personality etc just because of their blood grouping ?

If you are healthy & able, then give blood.
Otherwise when you need it, morally, you have no right to recieve it.

Just try and do the right thing, whatever that may mean to you.

^ i was about to post up that chart, so it would be more clear. Thank you!

I do encourage to giving blood here and there. I am not sure about other countries, but there are plenty of blood donation drives.
