The $6 billion is $2 billion from the Indian government and also $4.5 billion from two other companies.

My opinion
Bangladesh has 160 million mouths to feed and it needs to maximize all trade opportunities and naturally that should start with its adjacent neighbours. Burma is a fascist and genocidal dictatorship so we cannot trade with them but India is a democratic state with strong civilian institutions.
Bangladesh and India optimizing trade relations with each other is a win-win, but if it is done in a fair manner rather than Indian domination.
India signs treaties and gets media praise and then when the limelight is away effectively cancels the treaty by banning the import of Bangladeshi goods on technical pretexts. THIS HAS TO STOP!
Other than that we Bangladeshis are very lucky to be right next door to the world's second biggest economic market, India and very close to the world's biggest market, China.
