“O, you who believe, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. Theyare allies of each other. Whoever among you puts his allegiance with them, iscertainly one of them. Allah does not guide a people who oppress. And so,you see those in whose heart is sickness rushing to (make alliances with)them, saying: "We fear being caught in some unfortunate turn of events".Perhaps Allah will bring victory, or something from Him, such that they cometo regret that which they hid within themselves. And the believers (will) say:"Are these the ones who swore their strongest oaths that they were withyou?" Their works have been invalidated, and they have ended up in completeloss. O, you who believe, whosoever among you turns back from his way(Islam) Allah will surely bring another people whom He loves and who loveHim. (They will be) humble and merciful with the believers, strong and firmwith the disbelievers; they fight in the path of Allah, and do not fear theblame of those who blame. This is the grace of Allah, and He gives it to whomHe wishes, and Allah is encompassing, knowing of all things. Verily, your(true) ally is Allah, His Prophet, and those who believe; those who establishthe prayer, pay the

zakat, and bow in prayer. Whoever puts his allegiancewith Allah, His Prophet, and those who believe, the party of Allah are surelythe victorious ones.” Qur'an 5:51-56)

“Thereupon the only true alliance is with Allah, the Truth, that is the best in

reward, and the best in final results.”( Qur'an 18:44)

Truth is Pashtuns are not signing up for the national army because they do not respect Hamid Karzai’s administration. Tribal structure is everything to Pashtuns and Karzai claims he comes from a highly ranked clan but, according to Pashtuns in Kandahar, it is actually not very well respected and does not carry the lineage to justify someone like Karzai as head of state.

According to a native Afghan analyst I spoke to, the ethnic breakdown of the Afghan army is a recipe for civil war. It is dominated by Tajiks from the North and is lacking a proportionate representation of Pashtuns, especially from the south - which is the home of the Taliban. Unofficial estimates have put the Tajiks at over 60% of the ANA while Pashtuns make up less than 20%, although the Pashtuns make up 40% of Afghanistan’s population and the Tajiks only 25%.

The Afghan analyst says once the international forces leave most of the ANA will break off to fend for themselves and all the Afghan ethnicities will form groups and battle lines will be drawn similar to the ones that existed during the civil wars of the past.

The analyst said the solution is elusive to the U.S. because it seems contradictory, but it’s more about the levels of complexity that exist in a tribal society. What is needed is a strong, unifying leader that all of the ethnicities can trust.* Yet, what is not needed or wanted is a strong central government. The U.S. still doesn’t get that people from Afghanistan do not say “I am an Afghan” they say “I am a Pashtun” or “I am a Tajik”, etc. The tribes must be empowered. It is this fundamental misunderstanding by U.S. policymakers that has caused all these issues.

As far as the mad Hazara shooting Brits, my Afghan friend tells me that many Afghans can be bought and manipulated regardless of ethnicity. Or, we are just dealing with a lone nutter.

In order to be able to claim “no more troops*on the ground” in Afghanistan by*2014, the Pentagon envisaging transferring its special operations forces to the CIA, thus “making them spies” and “reducing the number of troops”.*This was reported*in an*AP article quoting two unnamed Pentagon officials.**

The troops, such as the SEALs and other units, would only change titles since they “still would target militants on joint raids with Afghans and keep training Afghan forces to do the job on their own”, according to AP. (Kimberly Dozier,*Pentagon may put special ops in Afghanistan under CIA control to meet 2014 pullout deadline, March 3, 2012)

The Pentagon spokesman has denied such plans were under way. Some commanders, AP notes, “want their units to remain autonomous in order to keep their troops under Defense Department legal parameters”.

This defense scheme could be linked to*a*recent article*from**Stars and Stripes, a U.S. Defense Department media outlet, stating the Pentagon is preparing to “unleash special operations troops worldwide as traditional military operations are cut back.”

Technically, if the same amount of troops is performing the same tasks,*but under CIA control, the Pentagon*could*claim it reduced traditional military operations.

              AP further notes:

A CIA-run war would mean that the U.S. public would not be informed about funding or operations, as they are in a traditional war. Oversight would fall to the White House, top intelligence officials, and a few congressional committees. (Ibid.)

This lack of public oversight on the funding would help conceal the exact amount allocated to wars.*

In a nutshell, if this plan was implemented, the American public would ignore how many troops are deployed and how much money is being spent on wars.

              Julie Lévesque*contributed to this report.

Army officer’s wife killed in Army Public School carnage

MARDAN: The wife of an army officer, who has been taking part in the military operations against the militants, was also martyred in the attack on the Army Public School and College in Peshawar. It was learnt that Saima Zari belonging to Gujjar Garhi village in Mardan district was a teacher at the Army Public School and College. She was married to an army officer. The body of the slain teacher was brought to the village at around 2pm. Her parents are living at the Sheikh Maltoon Town in Mardan city. Wishing not to be named, her friend told The News that Saima Zari taught at a private school in Mardan before joining the Army Public School and College a month back. She said there were reports that militants were keen to locate Saima Zari after storming the school building. She maintained that the militants killed her by setting her on fire. She added that the DNA test was conducted to establish her identity as her body had been burnt beyond recognition. However, this piece of information has not yet been confirmed by any government officials or the school management. The NEWS:Thursday, December 18, 2014

Secularism is father of athiesm but carries religion where it fails to form the law...that too at corner...not to be highlighted.

In islam as long as uniform covers body...and no glittering or showing off for others...its allowed to be used.Btw...dress of paint and shirts were derived from old time nations of turks ,romans and pashtuns even...just that they are modified and shortened shirts with tie.
