• Pakistani propaganda against Bangladesh

In this thread I will be monitoring and deconstructing anti-Bangladeshi propaganda by Pakistani nationalists and their supporters in Bangladesh e.g. Jamaatis, this includes propaganda from the notorious propaganda site defence.pk, which has been spreading wild lies, propaganda about Bangladesh in a hysterical manner.

    Relevance for Pashtuns and Afghans.

Most Pashtuns are now part of the state called Pakistan, over 40 years ago Bangladesh was, unfortunately and sadly, part of that state. It eventually won its freedom. So if the federation of Pakistan breaks up we can have a little idea, not a complete one as there are many differences between Bangladesh and Pakhtunkhwa (e.g. Bangladesh has a coast, Pakhtunkhwa doesn't), of how Pakhtunkhwa might fare.

As for Afghans many feel their country is being destabilized by the Pakistani military and ISI partly in a geo-political chess game against India. Bangladesh, too like Afghanistan, is to a lesser extent part of the same India-Pakistan tussle with Pakistan seeking to exploit Bangladesh as a country with which to destabilize India and cause problems for it, i.e. Bangladesh acts as a de facto "eastern flank" for Pakistan including providing support to anti-Indian separatist groups in India's north-east.

Many Afghans/Pashtuns accuse the Pakistani military and ISI of waging a war to destabilize their lands.

    *******

    Background

Bangladesh was part of Pakistan. The west Pakistani elite who have a confused attitude towards Islam, professing loyalty to it but violating basic concepts and ultimately chose ethnicity/race above Islam (in 1971), never liked the Bengalis whom they regarded as racially inferior and a problematic nuisance in terms of their "annoying" desire for equal treatment.

When 0.5 million Pakistanis died in a natural disaster in 1970 in the then "east Pakistan" the Pakistan regime did nothing and showed complete disinterest because these 0.5 million Pakistanis were not "really" Pakistanis but just "Bengalis" or "Bangalees" (pronounced with contempt and derision amongst many racist Pakistanis).

The following year the West Pakistani militarily illegally prevented the democratically elected leader of the then united Pakistan, Mujibur Rahman, from assuming office and launched a bloody campaign of genocide massacring and raping Pakistanis, but these were not "really" Pakistanis, just "Bangalees."

Unfortunately though Muslim Bengalis (who always chose religion above ethnicity from 1948-71 sacrificing a lot and accepting inferior status for the sake of preserving a united Muslim state, unlike the west Pakistanis who chose their ethnicity above religion e.g. they could not accept Muslims - of Bengali ethnicity - ruling over them) won their freedom in 1971, Pakistan has never truly left Bangladesh alone and just as Afghanistan is the victim of Pakistani interference so is Bangladesh.

    *************

Pakistan, Jamaat and the Saudi connection.

Pakistan uses its tool Jamaat e "Islami" to promote its interests in Bangladesh in conjunction with the Saudi regime which implements sanctions against Bangladesh whenever a centre-left Awami league government is in power, which includes the police harassment and physical assault of Bangladeshi workers in Saudi Arabia unreported and probably unknown to the international media (I know this personally through family).

Jamaat e Islami seeks to undermine Bangladeshi independence by saying that the country is a failed state and is a "puppet" of India that is to invalidate Bangladesh's war of independence in 1971 thus fooling Bangladeshis and others in to thinking 1971 was a Bengali loss when in fact it has led to huge improvements for Bangladesh economically and socially.

The propaganda of Bangladesh being an Indian "puppet" state has a twin-fold objective not only does Pakistan through its agents the Jamaatis invalidate Bangladeshi liberation it works to prevent normalization of ties between Bangladesh and India.

Through out the world neighbours trade with each other. Those neighbours that sort out their differences and live in peace with each other are the ones that prosper economically.

    *******************

Pakistan seeking to sabotage Bangladesh-India relations.

Pakistan seeks to sabotage Bangladesh-India relations because Pakistan views Bangladesh as "east Pakistan", which though it can never be part of Pakistan again must spiritually be part of it i.e. the "two states, one nation" phrase of ex-ISI chief Hamid Gul.

Bangladeshis must be crypto-Pakistanis in the eyes of the Pakistani army and ISI, their must be an underlying "Pakistaniyaat" in them which includes naturally hatred of India.

For Bangladeshis to view Pakistan just as another Muslim country like Egypt or Turkey is not enough for such people but they must view Pakistan as "big brother" (with Bangladesh as the little brother, junior partner i.e. inferior). So when Bangladeshis do not conform to such pre-existing right-wing Pakistani expectations there is anger, and accusations of "treachery!".

The Pakistani military and ISI views itself in an eternal war with "evil Hindu India" and as part of this war the former "east Pakistan" must be a cause of problems for India. There cannot be good relations between the two and if anyone attempts to do so he must be labelled as a "traitor" and "Indian dalal" (agent/lackey) by Jamaatis and Pakistanis. The fact that Bangladesh will suffer economically if it does not have normal trading relations with its western neighour and it has 165 million mouths to feed is no concern to the generals of Rawalpindi who in general hate "lowly Bangalees" anyway but want to fulfil a phallic desire to weaken and ultimately defeat India, with Bengalis being a disposable tool to do this.

In this thread I will refute anti-Bangladeshi propaganda being spread by Pakistanis (and their Saudi and Turkish allies) including from the notorious anti-Bangladeshi propaganda site defence.pk

Defence.pk, a notorious Pakistani hate site with heavy anti-Bangladesh propaganda by Pakistani-aligned Jamaatis from Bangladesh.

As part of its Global Attitudes Project, Pew surveys people in 44 countries about their feelings on the economy, and the responses this year show that it's all a matter of perspective.
    Here's the full question:
Now thinking about our economic situation, how would you describe the current economic situation in (survey country) - is it very good, somewhat good, somewhat bad or very bad?
Here are the percentages by country who believe their nation's economic situation is good:

The Chinese are extremely positive, so is Vietnam and Germany. But also, 71 percent in Bangladesh rated their economy as good. Per capita annual income just crossed the $1,000 mark there. That's compared to about $55,000 in the United States, where only 40 percent believe the economy is good.
Here's the chart from Pew on who thinks their nation's economy is bad. It's pretty much the inverse of the above chart. Greece tops the list. Americans feel worse about the U.S. economy than Pakistanis, Russians, Senegalese, and people in lots of other less prosperous nations feel about theirs.
    It's all relative.

If the article above was posted on the anti-Bangladeshi propaganda site "defence.pk" it would automatically be labelled "Indian" propaganda or "Awami league" (ruling party of Bangladesh) propaganda.

      1. The website "startribune" is American.

      2. The writer, Adam Belz, is American unless he is a blonde haired, blue eyed, pale pink-skinned man with an European name that is actually Indian.

      3. The "Pew" organization which carried out the survey is American.

India or the Bangladeshi government have no role in the survey above or the article.

However this sort of information is "dangerous" as far as Pakistan (the state and regime, not the ordinary people many of whom have no hostility to Bengalis) and its asset, Jamaat e Islami, are concerned.

Such information must not be made public because it contradicts the image they are trying to create of Bangladesh (in defence.pk and elsewhere) of a failed state where everybody hates the current government.

In fact 70% of Bangladeshis according to the poll above think the current government is doing a good job economically.

      @Srivinas Maulik

Please tell other Indians you know that defence.pk is a anti-Bangladeshi hate site with lies and propaganda against Bangladesh and that it is maliciously trying to sabotage relations between India and Bangladesh and that it hosts calls for terrorism against Bangladesh.

Its members do not represent the vast majority of Bangladesh's 165 million people who have no hostility to India (maybe some annoyance with some policies of New Delhi but not racial or sectarian hatred of this huge nation) and who view the Jamaat e "Islami" terrorist organization with complete disgust.

Pakistan has no interests in Bangladesh anymore, only if the Bengalis support rebels in the occupied Northeast States of India, perhaps then we will have common interests.

If an ethnic German citizen was tried by a German court for crimes carried out against Germans in Germany, I doubt the Chinese government for example would talk about it in its parliament.

In 2013 a Bangladeshi citizen was tried by a Bangladeshi court for crimes carried out against Bangladeshis in Bangladesh in 1971, what does this have to do with Pakistan?

          - The Pakistani parliament passed a bill condemning the
execution of this Bangladeshi citizen, Qader Molla.

          - The Pakistani interior minister, Nisar Choudhry, spoke out violating diplomatic protocol and interfering in the Bangladeshi domestic affairs.

          - The leader of Pakistan's second biggest party who is alleged to have close links with former (maybe even current) Pakistani military and intelligence officials i.e. Imran Khan spoke out against the execution of Qader Molla.

Imran Khan, leader of Pakistan's 2nd biggest party and a supporter of Jamaat e "Islami", a party known for committing war crimes in Bangladesh in 1971.

Nisar Chaudhry, spoke out in favour of the Jamaat e "Islami" terrorist group operating in Bangladesh in the Pakistani national assembly.

          Evidence.

The resolution also demanded that the Bangladesh government should not reopen the 1971 cases. The National Assembly also demanded that the Bangladesh government end all cases against the JI leaders with the spirit of reconciliation
          .

          http://www.thenews.com.pk/Todays-New...llas-execution

Why is the Pakistani national assembly calling for no trials of Jamaat e "Islami" war criminals?

Because Jamaat e Islami in Bangladesh is ultimately controlled by Pakistan and is an important Pakistani asset which the Pakistani regime must protect to promote its interests in Bangladesh.

The official and overt support given to the Jamaat e "Islami" terrorist organization operating in Bangladesh by the Pakistani parliament is just the tip of the iceberg, even the son of the founder of this organization, Maudoodi, has said Jamaat e "Islami" in Bangladesh and Pakistan are one and the same and controlled by the same people.

"Describing the Jamaat-e-Islami of Pakistan and Bangladesh as equals, he said Jamaat should not do politics in Bangladesh, whose birth it had opposed. Syed Abul A'la Maududi too had opposed the creation of Pakistan during the partition of the subcontinent in 1947 because, to him, Pakistan was a state for the Muslims, not an Islamic state
          - Maududi opposed the creation of Pakistan, whereas Mujibur Rahman strove hard for its creation and was involved in Muslim student politics.

"In a meeting, which took place in my home, [commander of Pakistani armed forces in East Pakistan who surrendered in 1971] General A. A. K. Niazi told the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami leaders: 'We formed al-Badr, al-Shams. We provided you money, training, arms. How do you claim these are your groups?' The al-Badr and al-Shams local in-charge here [in East Pakistan, now-Bangladesh] was Motiur Rahman Nizami. His superior was Khurram Jah Murad. There is a commission report which said Khurram shot 15 Bengalis, who were forced to line up, only to see whether a three-not-three rifle was working or not. Islamic-minded people worked for the Pakistani army Vare ke Tattu ki tarha (like hired donkeys to carry goods)…."
          - The son of Maududi himself says that his father's party carried out war crimes and massacres.

On defence.pk, this Pakistani and son of a Pakistani politician would be called "Awami Leaguer", "Indian secret agent" etc, and the moderators might delete any threads about him or ban anyone who posted this information.

Syed Haider Farooq Maududi: "The two parties in the two countries are just the left and right hands of the same person. There is only one head controlling the both. There is no different heads for controlling them. Doesn't matter whether it's in India, or here (Bangladesh) or there (Pakistan). The Pakistani media publishes news of Bangladesh, including the activities of Jamaat…. Most of the reports talk about how the Islamic-minded people are being convicted in secular Bangladesh. They also claim that people are being punished here because they talked for Islam."
          - The Jamaat in Bangladesh and Pakistan is controlled by one head according to the son of the party's own founder.

          - Also the Pakistani media publish pro-Jamaat propaganda portraying any action against Jamaat as an action on "Muslims" per se.

This has been replicated by the Turkish, Saudi and Ikhwani media and "Islamist" organizations through out the globe.

Fact: Jamaat e "Islami" is a party which has carried out war crimes in Bangladesh in 1971 for the sake of the Pakistani regime and receives open media and political support from Pakistan as well as Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.

Ali Al Ghamdi, well-known Saudi propagandist who writes articles for the Saudi family owned "Arab News" and publishes pro-Pakistan, anti-Bangladeshi propaganda and has recently published two articles defending Pakistani leader Nawaz Sharif (whose daughter is married to the grandson of a former Saudi King) against opposition to him using selective citation of facts. Ghamdi supports the Jamaat in line with the traditional Saudi policy of supporting the Jamaat (in fact Jamaat was unbanned due to Saudi regime pressure). Ghamdi is viewed as an "expert" on Pakistani-Bangladeshi affairs by the Saudi regime and it is not clear what role he has in instigating the harassment and beating of Bangladeshi workers in Saudi Arabia to pressurize the Bangladeshi government to adopt a pro-Pakistan, pro-Jamaat line.

Arab News, owned by the Saud family and a propaganda tool for the regime. The headline above prematurely and incorrectly "prophesizes" the end of the Assad regime in Syria. The Arab News has recently published two articles defending Nawaz Sharif, a well-known supporter of the Saudis related by marriage to the Saudi royal family. These articles were written by propagandist Ali Al Ghamdi.

Turkish media propaganda for Qader Molla.

The Turkish "Islamist" organizations Milli Gorus and its ******* child, the AKP, both support the Jamaat e "Islami" terrorist organization and thus promoted heavily biased pro-Jamaati propaganda on their media channels and publications through out the country, with the Turkish regime insulting Bangladesh, interfering in its domestic affairs and also carrying out sanctions e.g. refusal to supply military equipment. For the "Islamist" Turkish media the fact that maybe 0.3 million Bengalis were slaughtered in 1971 is totally irrelevant and not mentioned but only the execution of a pro-Pakistan political leader, Qader Molla is.

Bangladesh and the Pakistani (+Saudi, Turkish) threat.

The problem is that regardless of what we think of Jamaati terrorists and leaders Bangladesh needs to feed its 165 million population (something Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia do not care about) and needs to trade with its neighbours including India and have good relations with them.

However Pakistan wants to block any normalization of relations between Bangladesh and India.

It is supported by both the Saudi and Turkish regimes both of whom have good relations with India including military ties with the Saudis.

          http://www.saudigazette.com.sa/index...20140227197026

NEW DELHI – Saudi Arabia and India signed an agreement for military cooperation in the fields of training, and exchange of expertise and visits of military personnel.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, and Vice President of India Hamid Ansari by Nizar Madani, Saudi minister of state for foreign affairs, and Jitendra Singh, India’s minister of state for defense.

If Bangladesh however were to simply want to have railway networks or road connections with its giant western neighbour, the Saudi regime using their proxies, the Jamaat would seek to block it.

Saudis can trade with India, Bangladesh cannot.

So while the Saudis and Turks will work to block Bangladesh having good relations with India, they do not care that Pakistan has close military relations with Burma, a state which massacres Muslims and destroys mosques.

Pakistan Air Force chief with Burmese junta officials. Burma has been condemned internationally for its massacre of Muslims. The Pakistani military which cynically exploits Islamic rhetoric for its own benefit is helping this army including selling military planes.

Bangladesh does not sell arms to any anti-Pakistani forces nor does it even support them morally or politically with statements, yet the anti-Bangladeshi Pakistani military openly and unashamedly support the Burmese military which has almost gone to war with Bangladesh and massacres Muslims in the country.

Burmese guard with gun in front of Muslim refugees in Burma. Burma is supported militarily by Pakistan with Turkey or Saudi Arabia voicing no objection to this but instead seeking to bully and intimdate Bangladesh in to adopting pro-Pakistan policies and servitude.

Mosque destroyed in Burma. Burma and Pakistan are military allies, both the Pakistani and Burmese military are anti-Bangladeshi.

Mosque destroyed in Burma. Muslims have been massacred in Burma by the Pakistani-backed Burmese army.

Both the Pakistani and Burmese militaries are anti-Bangladeshi and have a history of genocide and racism.

Son of the founder of the Jamaat e "Islami" terrorist organization, who has rejected his father's party and ideology and says the terrorist organization should not be allowed in Bangladesh.

The Saudi Gazette, owned by the Saud family. It is a pro-Pakistan (pro-Nawaz Sharif) and anti-Bangladeshi propaganda publication with regular propaganda articles maligning Bangladesh and glorifying Pakistan by notorious Bangladesh-hater, Ali Al Ghamdi.

Notorious and controversial Saudi propagandist and so-called expert on "South Asian" affairs, Ali Al Ghamdi. Ghamdi is a supporter of the Jamaat e "Islami" terrorist organization and regularly writes propaganda against Bangladesh.

The Jamaat e "Islami" terrorist organization operating in Bangladesh though having received hundreds of millions of dollars from the Saudis is pro-Iranian and its rank and file would support Iran over Saudi Arabia with their followers vilifying the Saudi ruler, Abdullah, on social media.

Basherkella is the facebook page for Jamaat e "Islami" in Bangladesh. Though having received hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars from the Saudis over the years the Jamaatis hate the Saudi government (whom they use for funding and political support) and side with the Saudi government's opponents the "Muslim" Brotherhood and Iran.

The picture above is an image abusing the Saudi ruler, Abdullah posted by Jamaatis.

            *

The Saudi government have been made fools of by the Jamaatis who take their money but also abuse them. Jamaatis (and Pakistan) have convinced the Saudi government to ban the recruitment of Bangladeshi workers to Saudi (thus damaging the Bangladeshi economy severely) when there is an Awami League government, the Saudi interior ministry also organizes police harassment and beatings of Bangladeshi workers when the Awami League government does not adopt policies wished by Pakistan.

The Saudi government should stop this banning of Bangladeshi workers and harassment and beating of them, and should stop supporting the Jamaat e "Islami" terrorist organization which is pro-Iran and pro-"Muslim" brotherhood.

              - The Turkish regime of Erdogan really need to stop insulting and provoking other countries including Egypt, India, Syria, Bangladesh and many others.

Erdogan is alienating countries and leaders through out the world below is a picture of him being ignored by international diplomats and officials at the UN in New York recently.

Erdogan giving a speech at the UN general assembly around only over 20 (according to some) delegated listened to him.

A Pro-AKP newspaper than changed this same picture filling in the empty seats with people supposedly listening to him.

Below is the cold way that Erdogan greeted the Bangladeshi state minister for foreign affairs (with glasses on the left) during his inauguration, the article which the picture is from claims that Erdogan was in fact warm to him, the physical evidence seems to indicate otherwise.

Erdogan and his regime have insulted the Bangladeshi government and nation a few times now and have carried out provocative and hostile acts, this is all due to the lobbying of the Pakistani-backed Jamaat e "Islami", which sought to crush Bangladesh's very birth and are now making problems for it all around the world.

A cold Erdogan towards the Bangladeshi state minister for foreign affairs.

Normal protocol would mean that Bangladesh's leader or foreign minister would be invited but in fact someone much junior was invited. This shows the bad relations between Turkey and Bangladesh due to the work of the Jamaat e "Islami" terrorist organization.

The generals of the Pakistan army must be delighted.

Erdogan's regime has no role in interfering in the domestic affairs of Bangladesh or supporting a group which carried out war crimes, i.e. Jamaat e "Islami".

Erdogan is losing support in the international community.

                ***********
Why didn't they listen to Erdogan?

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has become an international figure; it is probably the first time so many people outside Turkey know the name of the country's president since the presidency of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of Turkey.

However, during his UN summit speech yesterday, many of the seats in the hall were empty, and it is safe to say that Erdoğan spoke only to a small group of listeners.

The main reason for this shift is the fact that Erdoğan has already lost his credibility in the world even though he still has some support on the ground in Turkey. The last two elections in Turkey can be considered an indication that he still has the support of the majority of Turkish voters even though he has already made the country less democratic and openly vows to continue this process.

There might be some complex motives for a significant portion of Turkish people's ongoing acceptance of Erdoğan as a credible leader. But the most important is the very fact that Turkish voters have not seen any alternative to follow and vote for yet. Second, by voting out of uncertainty, Turkish voters do not want to lose what they already have, even though they are not even satisfied by the current modes of governance.

According to the most recent life satisfaction report of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Turkish people look unhappier than many nations in the world. When asked to rate their general satisfaction with life on a scale from zero to 10, Turkish people gave it a grade of 4.9, one of the lowest scores reported by the OECD. Other countries reported an average level of life satisfaction of 6.6, the report reveals...

When speaking at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) on Sept. 22, Erdoğan said that the Gülen movement...has begun to wield significant influence in the US media and characterized them as being as dangerous as the “Hashashins” (assassins) of the Middle Ages.

Erdoğan talked about the Gülen movement for half of his speech, but he was not asked a single question about the movement. Instead, he was asked about the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)...

In his piece titled “Turkish Leader Erdoğan's Misstep in NYC,” Stephen Schlesinger, a well known American journalist and columnist for the Huffington Post, wrote that Erdoğan's appearance before the august CFR in New York City “did nothing to allay” the concerns about the prime minister.

“The president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has a problem. Through his battles at home in recent years to ward off criminal investigations of his administration, his insistence on dismissing wiretaps that show he and his aides involved in backroom threats against opponents, his decision to fire or imprison police and judicial officials whom he thinks are influenced by an overseas foe, his willingness to crush demonstrators who oppose his willful rehabbing of downtown Istanbul and his crackdown on journalists, he is getting a reputation as a mistrusting, authoritarian and sometimes paranoid leader -- despite his recent election to the top office in his country,” wrote Schlesinger

While many people in Turkey have no idea about the corruption probe that resulted in the resignation of Erdoğan's ministers from government in the past year, the diplomats and leaders of other nations seem convinced about the legitimacy of the allegations and wiretaps that link Erdoğan to the accusations.

                http://turkeyobserved.blogspot.co.uk...ogan.html#more

*Erdogan and his followers must stop their hostile and provocative behaviour towards Bangladesh. Half of Turkey hates them already and going round and causing tension with a country (Bangladesh) a few thousand miles away in another part of the planet is not a wise thing to do.

The Jamaat e "Islami" terrorist organization regularly taunt Bangladeshis that if they elect a centre-left government (Awami League) then relations with the "Muslim world" (read pro-Pakistan gulf states and now Turkey) will suffer, using this as a form of blackmail against Bangladeshis due to the influence they and Pakistan enjoy amongst the Saudis, GCC and Turks.

However just as we Bengalis defeated the Jamaatis, Pakistanis and Saudis in 1971 and established a free and independent country, we will defeat them again.

Muhammad Abdel Bari, a propagandist for the Jamaat e "Islami" terrorist organization. The terrorist organization lobbies Muslim countries around the world to behave hostilely towards Bangladesh. He is regularly interviewed by the media and spreads propaganda sympathetic to the Jamaat e Islami terrorist organization.

I am posting the following article because it disproves amongst countless other facts the lie that Bangladesh is "controlled" by India.

14 Indian fishermen held for intrusion

                  Star Online Report

Bangladesh Navy detained 14 Indian fishermen for intruding into the naval territory of Bangladesh. They were sued under a special act and imprisoned.
The fishermen fishing near the fairway buoy in the Bay of Bengal on Wednesday, said Manjur Elahi, sub-inspector of Mongla Police Station, quoting the navy.
“A fishing trawler ‘FB Dayamoi’ used by the men was seized,” he told our Bagerhat correspondent today.
A patrol team of the navy arrested the fishermen around 9:30am on Wednesday, some 70 nautical miles off from Mongla seaport, sources inside the police and navy said.
The detained were Nitya Biswas, 45, Gobinda Sarker, 32, Paran Biswas, 26, Ripon Biswas, 24, Gopal Manna, 34, Tarun Biswas, 40, Sudhanna Biswas, 28, Sanchit Haldar, 40, Bidhan Biswas, 35, Sanjay Biswas, 44, Biswanath Das, 26, Nimai Biswas, 28, Rameshwar Biswas and Pradip Das.
The Indian fishermen were handed over to Mongla Police Station on Thursday.
A local court under a special law sent them to prison after Bangladesh Navy filed a case in this regard, the OC added.

                  1. Such an article would not be posted on the anti-Bangladeshi propaganda site "defence.pk".

                  2. Pakistani nationalists/Jamaatis regularly falsely claim that Bangladesh is not an independent state but controlled by India. This is nonsense.
