1. Gulf Arabs have essentially not invested in the 3rd biggest Muslim country in the world and Bangladesh seems to still be under sanctions by pro-Pakistani Saudi Arabia for electing a party disliked by Pakistan, the Awami League, e.g. new Bangladeshi workers are banned from being hired in Saudi.
2. Qatar however, like the rest of the gulf states, is not as fanatically pro-Pakistani as Saudi Arabia and has better relations with Bangladesh including Bangladeshi naval personnel training Qataris

3. Bangladesh's true friends are these countries:
- Japan
- China
- South Korea
- Malaysia
and not the supposed "Muslim brothers" of the gulf or Turkey (who generally prefer Pakistan and some of whom support the Jamaat e Islami terrorist organization).
Bangladesh is growing, and will continue to grow and will become another Asian tiger like Malaysia is (Malaysia was behind Bangladesh a few decades ago), and by then we won't need gulf Arabs then, and we will remember the Saudis in particular and how they used to bully and blackmail us.
