Ex-KGB Col. Preobrazhensky: 'SVR Col. Shcherbakov' invented by FSB/KGB

    Publication time: 12 November 2010, 08:05

U.S. media is discussing reports from their Moscow correspondents on desinformation campaign by international terrorist network FSB Russia that a U.S. ring of 11 Russian spies and potential terrorists has been allegedly exposed by a defector from Moscow, a "Col. Shcherbakov" (the first name is omitted).

Naturally, nobody believes the article in such odious KGB newspaper, as the Kommersant. Therefore, U.S. media refer to a Russian parliament member Gudkov, the ringleader of the terrorist gang "State Duma's Security Committee". The criminal, who lies not less than his Kommersant, said on Thursday:

"Shcherbakov turned in our agents in the USA ... I knew about it long before the publication in the Kommersant".

Gudkov declined to tell Washington AP correspondents Pete Yost and Adam Goldman, who phoned him from America, where from he knew about an alleged involvement of Col. Shcherbakov in uncovering the Russian spy ring in the U.S.

All U.S. news agencies cited an anonymous KGB officer, who threatened to kill the heroic Col. Shcherbakov using the same method the KGB (NKVD) applied to murder a Russian opposition politician Leon Trotsky in Mexico in 1940.

None of the U.S. media ever mentioned, apparently, not to force Obama to re-reset his "reset" that the KGB (FSB) accused U.S. law enforcement agencies in applying in U.S. custody brutal tortures to Russian spy Juan Lazaro (probably, out of racial hate), alias a Russian citizen Vasenkov, whom the U.S. butchers from the FBI broke, according to the victim, 3 ribs and 1 leg.

The SVR speaker Sergei "Ivanov" in Moscow, as well as the CIA in Washington, declined to comment for American journalists on the publication in the odious Kommersant and on confirmation of this publication by no less odious ringleader of Russian terrorists, Gudkov.

A Russian defector, KGB Col. Konstantin Preobrazhensky, who chose, as FSB Col. Shcherbakov, liberty... however, readily commented on the defamatory (?) FSB publication in the Moscow respected (by the FSB and American correspondents in Moscow) newspaper Kommersant for Sergei Loiko, a Los Angeles Times correspondent. Loiko writes:

"Konstantin Preobrazhensky, a former KGB officer... said in an interview that the story may signal the government's desire to address intelligence issues, to prepare the public for the planned reunification of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) with the Federal Security Service (FSB).

The agencies were separated by then - President Boris Yeltsin in the 1990s in an effort to prevent the re-creation of the dreaded KGB and to bring the secret services more under presidential control.

A mysterious Col. Shcherbakov is a red herring concocted by the Russian special services together with the Kremlin," Preobrazhensky said. "They are little by little re-creating the Soviet Union institutions ... including the KGB".

    - From the Kavkaz center, a Muslim organization calling for a Kavkaz Emirate.
This is by far the most accurate account I have seen.
This is an example of why it requires INDEPENDENT news outlets with other slants than the US corporate media to dig further to get at the Truth.

Note: I considered the lack of a first name and patronymic [Russian usage, "son of" or "daughter of"] to be very strange for a Russian newspaper.

Former Colonel K. Preobrazhensky, an emigre who is now perhaps the leading analyst of the KGB's activities in America, says the same elsewhere.
