  • Two gang-raped trainee nurses expelled from hostel in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The three-member committee formed to probe the gang rape of two trainee nurses of the Khyber Teaching Hospital decided here Wednesday to expel the girls from the hostel for violation of rules.
The hospital sources told The News that the girls (names withheld) were kidnapped from Saddar Bazaar in Peshawar where they had gone for shopping. Four persons reportedly kidnapped and raped them on Sunday.
The girls were intoxicated and shifted to some unknown place in the city where they were allegedly gang raped. The culprits threw the girls on the Ring Road in semi-conscious condition and fled.
The condition of the girls was very critical because of profuse bleeding and they were shifted to the emergency department of the hospital. According to the preliminary reports, four or more men raped the nurses. The girls, however, said the rapists were two and one of them sported a beard.
The hospital sources said the girls recorded their statements before the three-member hospital committee. They told the committee that Sunday being a public holiday they went to Saddar Bazaar for shopping and on their way back to the hospital hostel they asked the taxi driver to stop at the Swato Phakat so that they could buy juice.
The girls said they fell unconscious after drinking the juice that the taxi driver had served them from a roadside shop. When they regained consciousness, they found themselves in a room where two men were also present. The girls said the two men raped them repeatedly. They said the men also threatened to kill them if they offered resistance.
The girls alleged that the men not only raped them but also snatched their jewellery, money and cellular phones. They told the committee that the culprits again intoxicated them before throwing them on the Ring Road.

Who sends a cab driver to fetch them juice in peshawar seriously. However, that doesnt justify what happened to them. I wouldnt expect them to return back to their studies so chances are that they are not expeled as getting rapped is not a choice that they made on their own for which they could get punished.

How dare these women to get raped while proud Pashtun secular nationalist Gosfandyar Zaleel Khan is in charge of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa?

        This is really discouraging.
Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

First and most, something like this in our regions just doesn't happen randomly. Those who do such things scout first, and usually first befriend the victims before carrying out the deed. Who knows what the truth is. I'm sure they were suspended not because they were raped, but because they left without permission from the hostel. People are not that cold or stupid to just suspend victims of rape for being "raped". There has to be other reasons. I'm sure the hostel is being managed by educated professionals and not the village idiots. So they probably have very good reasons for suspensions.

And who the hell goes to bazars in Peskawar without male escorts???? Juice...really? Wow. Not justifying their rape, but come on, people should know better. You can't leave your spin spay (white dog) alone in the bazars there. lulz

don't limit them by giving the profession a bad name when it's the people behind it who should be blamed instead. it's well educated people with lame mentalities like you which creates the friction in the first place.

If you mean docters then yes, they do respond to seduction from lower staff. Many nurses have kind of mission to attract docters for marraige.

There are also many shameless docters who first impress poor female patients/attendants and then seduce them for sex...and they get it what they want.

These things happen everywhere, people in power will use the ones not in power for their own interests, but the question is why are the victims not being helped and the perpatrators not sought after and punished. Why is government not vocal and active in preventing this from happening again. What kind of government is this. If an american woman was raped they would be all over it, they would even capture an innocent man and tell the world he did it. They turned Pakistan upside down for Daniel Pearle. Do these girls have less worth than him.

^In pure Pashtun society rape is impossible...illegal sex with consent do occur.

People dont do adultery openly in pakhtunkhwa, if revealed they are killed.

e.g Recently a docter was butchered by talibans in waziristan who used to do sex with local female patients and used to make videos of them. He accidently dropped a USB in which there were hundreds of recorded videos. some body uploaded them on internet and on tip talibans butchered him.

                          WTF

some real screwed up mindsets at play in this thread somehow implying that going out to get juice makes it their fault.

Personally, i couldn't give two craps if they were going out to get condoms, bottom line remains that no one deserves to be raped, let alone gang-raped and this weasel institution that is training them decides to punish the victims - talk about backwardness.

anyone who disagrees with me, please eat glass.

Lastly, cut the slurs on Peshawar, it's usually afghans that tend to stop and stare at a female showing more than an eyeball on public view.

                          Thanks,

                          Khyber Khan

Ahh, there comes the typical Pakistani mindset again! I guess even in Sindh and Punjab as well (with Karachi having most pervert-men ever) it must be Afghans 'staring at females showing more than just an eyeball on public view'? Yeah sure mister Funny Guy.

And Wrayun makes perfect sense. The story just sounds so awkward, so basically the taxi-driver knew the nurses would ask for some juice and he had already planned whom to hand them over to? WTF!?
