It is hard to deduce from Jinnah's life what was on his mind for creating Pakistan. There was no severe threat to the Muslims of India from the Hindus, who historically have never garnered enough strength to take on the Muslims. He wasn't a practicing Muslim either, nor was he coming from any orthodox Muslim school. He was an Agha Khani (Ismaili), just like the founder of the Muslim League, Agha Khan the 3rd. What was the purpose behind creating this All Indian Muslim League, by those who weren't actually considered Muslims by the Muslim masses themselves and this Islamic fortress?

Whether Jinnah's intentions were noble or not, after his death the nation of Pakistan fell in the hands of the most crooked and corrupt bunch of business owners and feudal lords of the sub-continent. The Muslims of the region would have been better off in a united India, instead of this predicament called PAK-I-STAN.

This idiot was used by the british to prevent muslims from ruling a future economic super power. Pakistan today is managed by a bunch of crooks whose sole purpose is to stand in the way of muslim unity.

While I dont hate the man, I do think that many of the Hindu-Muslim problems that India faces can be traced back to his two-nation theory and his demand for Pakistan.

Can someone close an information gap here? Isn't Nusli Wadia the grandson? Whilst the family in the newsreel clearly has difficulties, my guess is this news item is designed to play on emotions slightly. The Wadia family are very well-to-do Bombay Industrialists and this must be another branch of the family, but not "the" grandson as the news items seems to suggest.

Today it has just as many Muslims living peacefully with access to better education system. It's a shame how Pakistanis have been fooled. Bfitish divided the Mjslim population and Pashtun population.
for us in pakhtunkhwa, seperating out of pakistan may be infinetly easy as compared to getting out of a united india.
The condition of muslims in india is unknown to me. I dont see them have positions of high power commensurate with the percentage of muslims in india. ie in bussiness, buracracy, some token representation here and there.

^ Seeing the amount of respect, recognition and etcetera the Pukhtoons hold in India, I am somehow convinced Pukhtoons might have been much better off with India. And if that were the case then I doubt any Pukhtoon would have been eager to derive a fellow Pukhtoon from experiencing a prosperous nation. Don't you think?

India would have had the same policy towards the durand line that Pakistan has today, so in actuality it would have been a lot tougher. Respect is not the same as political rights and political sovereignty. Our prosperity comes in our unity, why should we be in either of the two states?

^ I know what you mean, but if let's say Pukhtoons would really have prospered in India and thereby could have contributed to their motherland as well, wouldn't we have been better off today? Or do you think India would have used Pakhtunkhwa the same way Pakistan is? And seeing at the size of India at that time, I doubt Afghanistan would have dared to touch a inch of it to be honest.

Well the fact that Afghanistan wouldn't tells us that this scenario is far better. There is no point for Pashtunkhwa to be further amalgamated into a larger south asian country...what would we gain? We are still divided.

So typical, i have found every tajik and persianized pashtun to be deep lover of india.

There are more muslims in india than pakistan but their standard of life many times lower than pakistanis. Muslims are absent in all governament jobs...an indication of prejudice against them. According to their stastics muslims are poorest community in india...some good looking muslims are earning from showbiz and some tough ones are playing roles of bhai loag.

I dont understand why pashtuns would have been special in united india... for a hindu every pashtun, punjabi, bengali is muslim nothing else. You should not that same stereotypes about pashtuns are in india which are in pakistan..

Pakistanis are very thankful of jinnah...the reasons of which are obvious.
